Some photos from the Venus Expo in Berlin...

Messe Berlin... now with protesters!
Even in Berlin, there are protesters!

The Lucas Entertainment booth's wall
Our booth had our posters everywhere.

Michael Lucas signing his cover of dschungel magazine
I met many of my European fans at the expo, including one couple who brought my cover of the German magazine dschungel to sign.

View from our booth #2: This couple spent a LONG time at the latex booth
This older German straight couple spent a LOT of time at the latex booth across from us. It was hilarious.

More photos are here.

A picture post: GMHC, Ben @ Loehmann's & New Mags

I had the great honor of attending the Gay Men's Health Crisis Anniversary dinner on Monday night. I've long supported everything the GMHC stands for. It was a great event where I got to meet some new people. Also, my company ran an ad in the dinner program. I believe we're the first porn company to do so.

Along with starring in our release "Michael Lucas' The Bigger The Better," our exclusive Ben Andrews is now appearing in the windows of Loehmann's here in New York as a model for their clothes. Yes, he looks great IN clothes too! I'm really proud that he got the gig, photographed by Joe Oppedisano. Below is a photo of one of the displays. He's the guy kneeling. You can see more on Ben's Myspace blog here.

And finally, our models are on the covers of two major adult magazines for April: exclusive Ray Star is on Unzipped with his photoshoot by Joe Oppedisano, and Ted Colunga is on the cover of Men for his "Uncut Cock Pool Party" layout. Congrats, guys!

Marc Jacobs Holiday Party, Michael Lucas' La Dolce Vita Premiere Photos, and Johnny Hanson's return!

jacobsholidayIMG.jpg
A photograph taken by a portraitist at the Marc Jacobs event

Last night I had a fantastic time at the Marc Jacobs 2006 Holiday Party. I was joined by countless amazing people and celebrities from Debbie Harry to Damon Dash. They played a wide variety of music from walzes to pop.

Marc dressed up as a huge pigeon. He couldn't use his hands under the wings so he had a friend hold his cigarette for him and he didn't eat anything because he couldn't go to the bathroom- but of course it was worth it because that was one FIERCE PIGEON COSTUME! And he wasn't just any pigeon, he was a fancy Italian one from the Piazza San Marco- the famous Venetian Square.

My favorite moment is when we went outside as Marc smoked and a man in the street asked Marc if there was something going on inside to which Marc answered, "yes".
The man continued, "with rich and fancy people."
"yes I believe so"
"what is the party"
"It's the Marc Jacobs' company party"
"Oh, I think I know that guy, he produces bags and shoes, right?"
"Yeah I think they make those as well."
Which of course was funny because all that man on the street knew was that he was talking to a very large pigeon from Piazza San Marco.

Check out more pictures from Marc Jacobs' Holiday Party here.

I've just uploaded some more pictures from Tuesday night as well. Here is one from the Question and Answer session. Check out more pictures from the Michael Lucas' La Dolce Vita Premiere here.

We also filmed a scene today with gay porn legend Johnny Hanson and I couldn't be happier with the way it turned out. It was for a new movie called, "The Bigger The Better" (to be released February 27, 2007) starring Ben Andrews and Chad Hunt as boyfriends. Johnny was paired with red-haired Lucas Exclusive Steven Ponce. Johnny was incredible and he absolutely fucked the shit out of Steven! His dick was solid and rock hard- and he even made some on film firsts for us. This was Johnny's first time sucking dick and eating ass on camera. What can I say? Simply fantastic.

And PS, on newsstands this weekend:

Out 100 Event

Hey guys,

Out 100 threw a really amazing party. There was a great crowd, great music, and great energy. Everything was just so perfectly done. I had a blast. Thank you to Out EIC Aaron Hicklin for inviting such a diverse group of people, as well as Chip Stevenson for all of his hard work on the event. BMF Media also did a great job putting it all together.

Greetings from Count Chocula

Hey everyone,

Today I opened New York Magazine and I thought I would have a heart attack right at the news stand! Do I really look like Frankenstein? If not then those geniuses at New York magazine did a great job getting me ready for Halloween. My dog who is posing with me looks a thousand times better than I do! (click here to see for yourself)

I know it's fucking amazing, especially for a porn star, to be featured in such a prestigious magazine as New York Magazine. So yes, of course I should be shitting in my pants with pride. But let me tell you, I can't help but be disappointed in how this turned out.

Since I didn't get a chance to choose which pictures ended up in the magazine, here are some new ones that were taken last week.

Enjoy :)

Love,
Michael

Back from Israel ...

I just got back to New York today, but it was so hard to leave. I have a real love affair with Israel and felt the country's love in return. The people are so beautiful, strong, and kind, and there was such a warm reception! This was definitely the best trip I have ever taken.

The people of Israel gave me the best treatment I'd ever had in my life. Everywhere I went, people took care of me and did everything they could to make sure that I had a great time.

There was a lot of curiosity and interest surrounding my appearance. I gave several interviews a day. Reuters also came to my show to photograph the whole thing.

The end of this story is that my trip was very successful. The whole week I felt the unconditional appreciation, respect, and support of Israel. It was an incredibly moving experience for me.

I decided that I want to buy a house in Tel Aviv somewhere near the Jaffa port as Jaffa is one of my favorite places.

Here is the first batch of pictures, and in the next few days I will upload more. Also look out for video clips that we took coming soon ...

My Trip to Peru ...

So my trip to Peru was absolutely smashing. This country is stunning. Beautiful nature, fantastic museums and architecture, amazing food, and very sweet, friendly people. I especially recommend Cuzco and Machu Picchu. If you go to Cuzco, stay in Hotel Monasterio. It's not just in a gorgeous old Monastery. It's also the only oxygenated hotel, where they pump oxygen into the rooms non-stop. This is very important considering the high altitude.

My boyfriend and I had 9 unforgettable days together, but enough of my yapping- just check out the pictures below:

DSC01285_1.jpg
The view from my Cuzco Hotel room.

DSC01654_1.jpg
I was feeling a little adventurous.

DSC01648_1.jpg
I even got on the top of Huayna Picchu.

DSC01681_1.jpg
I kind of gave up and let my beard grow a bit ... no one knows me in Peru anyway.

DSC01740_1.jpg
I visited the Museum of the Inquisition. It was a great reminder of how the Catholic Church dealt with non-believers ...
This picture is a great example of Catholic tolerance.

DSC01751_1.jpg
Peru still has a little problem with fashion.

DSC01257_1.jpg
At the Museo Larco Herrera, you see a hermaphrodite. Isn't it great to have a vagina and a cock at the same time? The best from both worlds.

DSC01226_1.jpg
I actually ate those snails, nearly on a daily basis. I must tell you, they are delicious.

DSC01555_1.jpg
This is actually not a llama, it's an alpaca. I bought many alpaca sweaters for my whole family.

DSC01549_1.jpg
Here you can see a little animal abuse in the ruins of Machu Picchu.

Child abuse
A reminder for parents not to forget to send their little boys to church. This can be found everywhere in Peru.

DSC01289_1.jpg
Child and Animal Abuse.

DSC01404_1.jpg
More animal abuse.

DSC01467_1.jpg
To my horror, the national delicacy is guinea pig, which they call kyui. It's on any respectable restaurant menu, served with claws and head. Very freaky!

DSC01465_1.jpg
Love at first sight. I bought her for 10 dollars, and then smuggled her over the border. So much for American security. Her name is Esther, after Madonna. By the way, nothing can age a girl more than this name.

DSC01471_1.jpg
Please don't think that I got this pig because gerbils no longer satisfy me so I went for a bigger animal. I just love their eyes.

DSC01354_1.jpg
All of these museums I visited had all of these pictures of these crucifixes.

DSC01412_1.jpg
I think this is the gayest picture I have ever seen. A real Peruvian Incan knitting with a toothless smile.

DSC01407_1.jpg
No, this is not me. This is an old lady, and there are thousands just like this walking around the beautiful town of Cuzco. They are actually about 60 years old, but living in the sun, and having a tough life, they look a solid 100 years.

A weekend with Amanda Lear, and a little Cumming ...

Amanda Lear had an event for her gallery opening "Never Mind the Bollocks" at the Envoy Gallery (535 West 22nd St). She is absolutely incredible. The amount of energy she radiates is more stunning than almost anyone in the room. And if you don't know who she is, you are not doing a very good job at being a gay man! I've loved her ever since I was a kid in Russia for so many reasons. She's known as a singer and disco queen, and also for her controversy surrounding being transexual. I bought one of Amanda's drawings and later we had a great time at dinner where Amanda talked about everything from her affair with David Bowie to her friendship with Dalida and Alain Delon, some of my favorite people. She was such a sweetheart and even invited me to her place in the South of France. Needless to say, I had a great time.

Hello From Sunny Florida ...

Here are some pictures from my recent show/trip to West Palm Beach and Cupid's Cabaret.
They were charging 25 bucks for entry to the club, so I guess I am a hot ticket ...
I don't think anyone was disappointed when I announced right away that there will be no dancing or booty shaking, just a lot of dick swinging. If you want to see a real dance show, go see Nick Lachey, not Michael Lucas ... or Mark Dalton for that matter. Thankfully, no one left, so I guess nobody hired me for my brains or my ability to dance.

And I actually learned a few things interacting with the crowd.
Once on stage I said, "Guys, I am an aging porn star, so please dim those horrific lights." I thought I was making fun of myself, but soon after about 20 people complained to me asking me why I would insult the club in this way.
Later, when someone from the "press" asked how my show will be different from Dalton's show, I said, "Well, I will have talent." I could tell they didn't like that very much.

It was this moment that really drove the nail in the coffin: I live in my New York cacoon and should be very careful about joking around outside of this sphere. I've always enjoyed making snide remarks and sarcastic humor but this can easily be misinterpreted as something negative. I'm a little tired of being misinterpreted no matter where my intentions lie.

Anyhow, it really sucks when people don't understand my jokes. But I really adored everyone in Florida and I'd rather prevent misunderstandings from getting in the way of me and good people.
So I think sometimes I'll just play a silent movie actor and let my body to all the talking for me.

Tim, Roma, and Jay

I'm interviewed in the newest episode of the Tim and Roma show. Check it out here. I love them and couldn't wait to do their show the next time I was in San Francisco. Tim is one of my favorite people in the biz and Roma is just hilarious!

Last night I had a great time celebrating the premiere of Project Jay, featuring Jay McCarroll. I couldn't believe how great the cinematography was for a reality show. And seeing the contrast between his midwestern upbringing and his new city life was pretty interesting. Plus he's a funny guy, and you all know I appreciate a sense of humor. My favorite line of the night was when he said "If I was good looking, I'd be dead of AIDS." The way he said it was priceless.

DSC00622_3.jpg

I had a long evening about town last night. Fashion week started with some great parties. First, my friend Jason joined me at the MAC Cosmetics party which was fierce. I had fun meeting new people and chatting with old friends. The theme was Geisha/Chinese New Year, and Pamela Anderson was such a doll.

I must say that Donald Gaynor again did an amazing job with this party. I had gone 2 years ago and it got much better.

Same with Mao PR's party, where we stopped later that night. It was so much fun. Lady Bunny was hilarious as usual. Mauricio from Mao sure knows how to throw an amazing party. He also puts out a great magazine. I ran into Michael Musto just as he was getting on his bicycle. He showed me a page of highlights in Mao magazine with quotes from him. It was sweet as he pointed out where he gave me a shout out. How nice of him to mention me in this fashionable way! He is a great friend, I adore him, even though he made fun of me quite a few times, and you know how vain I can be ...

I also ran into Alex Poole, formerly my wonderful flash production manager. He was with Lucas Entertainment for the longest time, and after not being touch for so long, I realized I missed him. He looked just great and seemed happy with his cute new boyfriend. For me it was a highlight of the evening.

We then went to the party called Miss Sixties at Capital downtown, with fellow blogger from Queerty.com, Bradford. He was absolutely hilarious. I had so much fun with him and his half retarded friend Randy Kaufman, who is not only a very fun guy, but also a very talented Interior Designer. He promised to design a set for the upcoming Michael Lucas' La Dolce Vita.

I'm sure there was a lot more fun to be had, but the party had to end no matter how much I'd like to be an all night socialite. I like money so much I have to get to bed by at least 1am. After all, I have a business to run in the morning!

Holiday Party Pictures

In the face of a subway strike, some thought perhaps it could not be done. But alas, I would not let such obstacles stand in my way. A party was going to happen, and a great time was to be had by all! Indeed, enjoy these pictures from my holiday celebration on Tuesday night in my Chelsea apartment. Howard Stern Rocks, Subway Workers Suck.

Howard Stern had some big spectacle of a celebration today as he made his move to Sirius radio. It was nice to see this whole deal with my friend Lady Bunny and my PR Coordinator, Heather Reznor today. I remember doing his show a couple of years ago. I was the first gay male porn star to be invited. He asked me to show my dick, and commented that my dick soft looks much bigger than his when it is fully hard. Well, I do appreciate honesty in a man. Today his crew asked me if I think he is sexy. I am an honest guy myself, so I said "No."

On another note, Ladies and gentleman, let me tell you something: I live and work in New York City. And I am a little bit upset, actually- pissed off.

The first reason is that all these lazy fat ass transit workers, and you know how I hate the fatties ;) are blackmailing the city right around the holidays. Yes, I said blackmailing! And there is no better word for that. It is against the law to organize such a strike, but they are doing it anyway. That is because they have these fucking unions. Listen, I came from the USSR. I just cannot stand those communist institutions to begin with, but I completely despise them when they get so arrogant and think they can bully the whole city and ruin the fragile New York economy. Did I hear the number right, something like 400 million a day? Is that the bill that this bunch of chubby retards wants to present to the city? Someone should explain to them that we are not in France, where such strikes happen almost weekly (one day it's the garbage men, another, hospital workers). But the US is not a socialist country.

My second problem is that the city is negotiating with blackmailers. For what, to set a precendent for other union supported groups to strike tomorrow? What they would really have to do is fire every bitch and get new people ASAP.

Let me tell you right away, before you start writing your emails about these poor slaves of the rails and buses: These people have much better benefits than most Americans. They have amazing medical coverage, including full dental. How many of you have government paid dental plans? Paid holidays, and a very nice salary. So why do they go on strike? Because some politicians in this country do not have balls, and the unions know it.

Soy Bomb

I strongly believe that in my profession, you should not only be muscular, but more importantly lean and flexible. Ideally, a porn star should have leaner muscles and almost no body fat. This is largely why I started my raw food diet. I absolutely love eating this way. I feel great inside and out. A new favorite place of mine that is a real must if you live in New York is Bonobos. In addition to my raw food diet, I also do yoga and heavy weights 5 times a week. It's of utmost importance that I never take for granted how sexy you all need me to be!

Which is also why I got a brand new haircut. Constant change is a motor in the entertainment business. I love watching Madonna's new looks, and I figure my fans should have some fun too. So here is my new look that I will be sporting in our new production, "Barcelona Nights". We start filming in Barcelona next week. I will be joined by many amazing guys including Bruce Beckham and Wilfried Knight. But don't worry, I'll be emailing blogs from abroad!

Halloween Weekend in the Ocean State

I was invited with my boyfriend and 10 friends to a fabulous party in Newport, RI. It was absolutely charming and amazing. Even though it took over 3 hours, the drive was so lovely. Along the way you could see the Indian autumn, trees in orange and gold- you really miss that in Manhattan. The party hosts, Kenny Zarelli and Josh McKenney, did a fabulous job. I was impressed that there is a place only hours away where people still live in mansions with servants. It reminded me of the Frick Collection, but instead of being used as a museum, people actually live there. About 400 people filled the halls of the estate. Not only was the mansion absolutely beautiful, they built this huge pavilion for dancing. So along great food and beautiful people, I was thoroughly enchanted by the whole evening. Newport has a lot to offer from mansions to nature, ocean, restaurants, nice shopping, and the people are so sweet. It also seemed quite gay, but maybe that was just the party. So yes, I enjoyed the whole beauty of historic Newport, from the Cliff walk to the grandeur of the neighborhood. The birds flying, the smell of the crisp autumn air, amber leaves beneath my feet, the sun setting on the ocean . . . on another hand, I would shoot myself very fast in the head if I had spend any more than 2 days there. What can I say? I love New York.

Sunday's Party Pics

About 80 friends joined me for my No Reason cocktail party last night. I am always inviting a diverse crowd, from politicians to porn stars. It makes the whole night a lot more fun that way. I find that people particularly enjoy being around people outside of their normal everyday company. One highlight of the night was that Michael Musto's mom joined us. She is the sweetest lady with a great sense of humor- very up front, in a good way. Now I know where he got his wit!

Now- let's have the pictures speak for themselves:

So yes, I had some fun . . .

Fashion week was a blast, and it seems that the press noticed me having my way with New York City.

Here I am mentioned in the New York Times, and yes Tyson Beckford is as hot in person as he is he is in pictures. Click here.
And here in Fashion Weekly, and let me mention, they knew who I was. I am the sort of gentleman who introduces himself, of course! Click here.
Mentioned Briefly in the Village Voice. Click here.
From Queerty. Click here.

Let's not forget today's Page 6 (click here). But there's 2 neccessary corrections.
1) Michael Lucas was a personal guest of Timothy Greenfield-Sanders and was among many other friends. He was actually spending time drinking champagne in Timothy's Lounge where he was photographing celebrities.
2) Michael was not HX magazine's media whore of the year. He presented Next magazine's media whore award.

Here's the pics, Enjoy!

Zoolander Speaks

I know it's a bad idea to suppress freedom of speech, but you know what? This is my blog baby, and I've got news for you. From now on, I won't post even one comment (good or bad) that mentions my lips. Sometimes enough is enough. I've heard it all: pout, duck, Zoolander, platypus, ad nauseam. Look, ugly is ugly. And let's all agree that my lips are ugly, silly, big- whatever. Let me also assure you that they will stay there, fully erect as they are. And there is nothing new about your comments whatsoever. I've listened to this since kindergarten, people calling me all kinds of names because of my lips. Well, either you like them or you don't. So, in the future, if you want your comment posted, don't bother with your tired lip jokes, that is unless you take pleasure in deletion. And for some of you assholes, who think that my lips are fake, here are some of my pictures, taken just about a hundred years ago when neither collagen nor silicone were available. At least not in Russia.

Next Magazine "Out There Awards"

On Monday, Michael was a presenter at the first ever Out There awards from New York City gay mag NEXT. Since there was a distinct possibility of free alcohol, a bunch of us from the office went along. Michael presented the "Press Whore of the Year" award to Patrick McDonald, and this very blog was nominated for "Scandal of the Year" The real scandal - we didn't win!

Family

familyblog.jpg
Family. The most important and at times, challenging thing in life. The first thing I did when I came to the US was save money to get my family the hell out of Moscow. I arrived in the city in ‘97; in 2000 I was able to bring over my grandparents. My brother followed in 2001, then finally my parents.

Three months later, bad news. My mother was diagnosed with cervical cancer. I remember the blank expression on the oncologist’s face and his monotonous voice as he told us it had metastasized to her lungs.

My mother, usually a strong woman with a wonderful outlook on life, couldn’t get out of bed for weeks. Then came countless rounds of chemo and radiation and three complicated surgeries, all wrapped up in pain, tears, and the fear of death hanging over her hospital bed like the sword of Damocles. But no matter how much they nuked, the cancer wouldn’t go away, clinging to her cells like black mold to a damp wall.

One day my mother called to tell me about this mountain healer she heard about. He was one of those miracle workers living in the deep jungles of Brazil. She wanted to go. I looked it up on the Internet and found a report headlined: “JOHN OF GOD" A HEALER OR A CHARLATAN?” Great. Just what I needed, an idiot selling false hope and shredded bark. I read the article, something about fruits, vegetables and Brazilian herbs. My friends warned me he was just another con artist preying on people who are too scared to think.

I disagreed. Not that I believe this guy’s for real. The guy’s an idiot. But I figured the worst thing that could happen to my mother is a bad case of the runs. If she wants to go who am I to stop her? I gladly paid for the tickets for her and my dad, and the hotel room and sent them on their way.

My mother came back looking fresh, alive, invigorated. A woman after a ten-day spa in the Amazons. Now she wants to go again in September.

I still think the Brazilian “healer” is full of shit. But with all his voodoo crap, he was able to give my mother something no Western medicine has been able to achieve: hope. And that is worth all the Reals in the world.

Love

Michael

Milan Photoshoot - May 2005

eIMG_5322.jpg
Bruce & Michael

Speaking of Bruce Beckham, he and Michael flew to Milan earlier this month for a photoshoot with one of the best photographers we've ever had the pleasure to work with. (We can't say said photographer's name on here, but trust us—he's good! He's taken some of the best-ever photos of Marco Rochelle and Wilfried Knight.)

As you probably would have guessed, Michael and Bruce had an amazing time together. After the jump, see photos of the guys touring Milan's gorgeous Il Duomo, as well as some gorgeous preview shots of the shoot itself (click on each pic to enlarge).
