Answers to your questions...
I got tons of responses to my last post. Here are answers to some of your questions:
In one of your past blogs, you posted a great picture of your family. I was sorry to read your grandfather passed away not long ago. I was wondering how the rest of the family is. I do remember from the family picture that you have a very hot looking brother! -Donald
Thank you, Donald. Yes, it was a hard time for the whole family, especially my grandmother as she was married to my grandfather for 60 years and now she has to get used to being alone, which is not easy at age 85. But she is a strong person and doing great considering the situation. I spend a good deal of time with her and my mother. I treat them to the opera at Carnegie Hall, which they love. I will be with my whole family in Brooklyn for my grandmother's 86th birthday this year. My brother will be coming from Moscow with his girlfriend. He has lived there now for over a year and has his own successful real estate business. Needless to say, I do not share his love of Russia. I haven't visited there in 7 years.
Michael...love your movies and your site....Will you ever do a scene with Jack Bond? I really hope so.....
-Fred
Maybe, he's definitely a great performer.

Jack Bond
In your own personal life, what physical characteristics of a person are you most sexually attracted to? -Dave
I am lucky that I do not have a "type." I am into men of any age or nationality and that's why you see such a diverse array of men in my films. I just came from Florida where I shot Auditions 18: Florida (out May 15th) and I included lots of twink type boys in it. Before that I was in Hungary filming Auditions 8--Ivan Grey and the other two--what happened to them? My question though, is, it was supposed to be a three way but it ended up mostly you and one of the guys... why?
Sometimes a guy just isn't into a scene, and he's totally free to leave if he isn't. That is what happened in that case. We don't stage the scenes and it's all about the guys enjoying themselves, so I would rather let the guy go than fake it.
In Auditions 1 and 4 you had great watersports scenes, but after that they are kid stuff - how come? -Sam
I produce more watersports scenes than any other adult film company, especially my latest releases. They are always included in the Director's Cut editions which you can only get from www.lucasentertainment.com
Just read the synopsis of the films to find out which ones have watersports scenes. By the way, three movies that are coming out soon--Cruising Budapest 1: Michael Lucas (coming out April 10th), Auditions 18: Florida (coming out May 15th), and another film that I shot in Florida recently that we haven’t named yet (coming out May 29th)--include watersports in nearly every scene. Again, those scenes will only available in the Director's Cut, and you can only purchase them from my website.
When are you going to come to Melbourne? It's an amazing city, you'll like it. -Jess
I don't have plans yet to visit Australia, but if any of your clubs invite me to dance there I will hop on the next flight.
Do you like cooking? Which are your favorite plates or dinner?
No, I must confess, I do not like to cook. I just simply do not have time for it. When I do have free time, I prefer to spend it reading. My favorite type of food is Italian, but I am trying to eat as healthy as possible so I don't enjoy it as much anymore. I've also stopped eating red meat.
When will the next Auditions video come out? Will you be including your scene with the young soldier?
We release a new Auditions film more or less every month. Auditions 16 was just released, so you can purchase it from my website now. Auditions 17: Hungary comes out April 20th and Auditions 18: Florida, which I highly recommend, comes out May 15th. If you are a member of my site you can watch streaming video clips from most of these films now on my website.

Click here to purchase Auditions 16
The scene with the Israeli soldier that you are referring to is available only on my website. Some of our content is shot exclusively for members of my site, so you have to become a member to enjoy it. And trust me, it is worth it.
How is Bianca?
My dog Bianca is doing very well, considering she is now nearly 9 years old.
I wish you would work with Julian Vincenzo and Ted Colunga. -Daniel
I have actually worked with Ted Colunga on my last trip to Hungary. You can see him in Uncut Cock Pool Party, which is available on my website, and I will be working with him very soon on my next trip to Hungary.

Buy Uncut Cock Pool Party here!
This may not be of general interest, but I'd just like to know if you received the signed Dietrich photo I sent to your office some time ago? -Carsten
Yes, thank you so much for thinking of me. It was very nice of you to do. I have it on my wall.
What vegetables and fruits do you juice? And where do you see yourself in 20 years? -Nathan
:-) I drink juice every morning and I change it up every day--everything from apples to parsley.
Twenty years from now is way too far in advance to really think about. But yes, I do hope to have children someday.
I like the fact that not only do you produce and direct your films, but that you also appear in them. In other words, you don't ask your actors to do anything you wouldn't do. Good leadership. My question is about circumcision. In some scenes, you don't appear to be cut and I'm wondering if you were circumsized as a youngster in Russia? -Robert
I am not circumsized, which I know it is strange for a Jew to be uncut, but about half of Russian Jews are not circumsized. My foreskin happens to be short, so when my dick is hard it pulls back. That's probably why you thought is uncircumsized.

See, I'm definitely uncut.
How was your trip to Ft. Lauderdale? I didn't get a chance to catch you while you were down here. Can we expect any hot scenes from your Ft. Lauderdale trip in your next movie? -Ruben
My trip was fantastic and you can absolutely expect some great scenes. I filmed three great movies down there: two Auditions films including Auditions 18: Florida, which will be released May 15th, and another movie that I haven’t titled yet that will be out May 29th. We’ve already begun uploading scenes from the first Florida Auditions for streaming video on our website, so you can catch those now if you are a member.

Jonathan Vargas and Jason from Auditions 18-Florida

Ray Star and Todd in Auditions 18-Florida
Why don't you wear more leather? ;-) Your hottest photo shoot so far was in leather. -Peter
Well, everyone has different taste and I don't think leather was ever my market. I do wear leather pants now and then, so maybe I will get more into it at some point.
Has it ever happened that during a shoot the fuck was so intense that it continued off camera?
It doesn't usually continue off camera because the last thing they do is cum, but a lot of times the guys are really into each other and want to see each other again.
What happens when hot porn stars are gathered for the shoot? Do you ask to them to save their energy for the fuck scene or they are free to warm-up?
We ask the guys not to have any sexual activity with their partner before their scenes. So no, there are no warm-ups.
Have you had sex with Kent Larson off camera?
Kent Larson is a very nice guy :-)
You have already shot in Moscow, Paris, and Barcelona...I think it's time you come to shoot here in Brazil!
-Paolo
I've visited Brazil and it's a beautiful country. I performed in Sao Paolo at a club called Level several years ago.

Updates and Q&A
I know I haven't been making too many updates to the blog lately, but I've been super busy these past few weeks. My company's making 3 movies a month now so I am constantly in production. Next week, I will be jetting off to Hungary to shoot another two movies and then heading back to New York to film Lucas Entertainment's next big production (stay tuned for the details). I might even return to Fire Island this summer to shoot Fire Island Cruising 9 and 10. Also, HX Magazine contacted me recently and asked me to begin writing a weekly column for them... so yes, I have a lot of work ahead of me!
I haven't done this is in a while, but now seems like a good time to take questions from my readers. So, just post a comment to this entry with your question and I will answer it in my next entry. Ask me whatever you want--don't be shy!

La Dolce Musto
I just got my good friend Michael Musto's new book La Dolce Musto and it was so interesting, light, and witty that it only took me a couple of days to read. I've followed his column for the past ten years, but this book is wonderful since covers over 20 years of his hilarious writing. I especially loved his excerpt about visiting Russia in 1993 and his stories about celebrities like Rosie O'Donnell (who called him a "gay Nazi") and people who have been dragged out of the closet by him over the years. Almost nobody goes unscathed... it's fantastic. Thanks to books like this more celebrities like Anderson Cooper will finally come out the closet as well. Michael is known for his openly gay personality, but just when you thought he couldn't get any gayer, he puts out a book cover like this:

Looking for Locations
Hey Guys,
It's that time of year again...
Do you know of any LOCATIONS where I can shoot my company's lovely gay adult movies?
Apartments, lofts, offices, restaurants, underground dungeons, saunas, fashion boutiques... anywhere I can fit two or more guys and a cameraman is what I'm looking for.
In and around New York City is preferred, but if you know of a gorgeous villa or sprawling ranch somewhere, I'm interested in hearing about that too. The one thing is that they MUST be cool with a gay adult film crew on their premises.
Send photos and other details to locations@lucasentertainment.com.
Thank you!
-Michael
PS - Both my company and my exclusive Wilfried Knight now have Myspace pages! Add them both!

Go home with me tonight... really!
I've always been asked why I had my own company but not my own dildo. To be honest, there was never a specific answer other than I'd always been so busy making movies in my 12-year career, I just never got around to making a dildo. While I was in L.A. last year for the Gay Porn Expo, however, I finally decided to do it.
My exclusive Ben Andrews and I stopped by a large sex toy company and went through the exhausting process of making casts. The procedure is quite barbaric. You have to get hard and lay down on two desks with a space between them. A guy comes with a huge bucket of thick, white plaster, and you have to stick your cock inside this cold mess for about 5 minutes until the plaster solidifies.
Then comes the fun part. You see, since I refuse I shave my pubic hair, pulling all my junk out of the plaster was torture. And to top it all off, they make you to do this 5 times to make sure the cast is usable.
So after all that hard work (pun intended), I am now very excited to make this exquisite piece of art available for every good American home. Click here. (Ben's, by the way, will come out in the next month.) My dildo is absolutely perfect for anyone: men, women, Christians, Jews (it's 100 percent kosher), and even Muslims (but of course, they will have to check with the Holy Qur'an first).

The 101st threat from the biggest clown in the industry
Most of you have probably never heard about David Forest, but this email is a so crazy that I thought you guys would have a kick out of it. I got it at around 7:30 this morning, which means it was sent at around 4:30 this morning his time. My favorite touch is that this was sent to me in green, as it is almost St. Patrick's Day! So I'm posting it that way here. Enjoy!
Michael—
For the first time, ever, I glanced at your "blog" ... and was particularly surprised that you continue to post libelous statements about ME on a public/free forum:
March 14, 2007
http://www.lucasblog.com/archives/2007/03/all_about_the_g.html
"I think that David Forest is an embarrassment to the adult community."
You sick your attorney on me because a "watermark" wasn't on one of your CHAD HUNT images on MY site (which was corrected within 10 minutes ... sorry for the blunder). YET ... you feel that you are ABOVE THE LAW ... and can continue to flagrantly post defaming/libelous comments about ME. As you think about how to "spin" yourself out of the SNUBBING from the Grabby's .. just remember: "What Goes Around/Comes Around." Your KARMA is so awful ... you might as well prepare for LOTS of "snubbing" in the coming months. You get what you give, Michael. Your SHIT DOES STINK .. and don't ever forget it.
EVERYTHING that you did (live blast to hundreds of GRABBY AWARDS spectators a few years ago, many mass emails, many postings on public sites, statements to many industry folks, etc.) has been injurious to ME, my reputation, my income, relations with the stars I handle, studios, nightclubs I book to, etc. You are going to PAY for what you've done... believe me.
I will be in Chicago this year (May 26) for the "Wall of Fame" honors that the Grabby's are bestowing on DAVID FOREST. I will be there to see how many of my 9 stars WIN Grabby's. They have garnered a whopping total of TWENTY-FOUR (24) nominations (one of Chad Hunt's is actually for a scene in one of YOUR movies that DID get to Gay Chicago for reviewing, Encounters: Flashpoint). Believe me ... if they had gotten your "la Dolce Vita" film ... it would have been considered for nominations. Fire Island Cruising got a nom because they had been sent that one (Heather did GOOD for you, actually ... but she must feel slighted ... I hear she may write a book about her Lucas days).
Truth is, dear, YOU reached your "apex" at the GAYVN'S. Savor the moment .. there won't be many more (giving flowers at the stage to Kathy Griffin was soooo perfect ... you are such a little "brown noser" if you think it might get you a nickel). When everyone began leaving the auditorium ... as you were about to accept the biggest award of the night ... I hope you realized, then, just how folks feel about PHONY guys in this industry. Guys who use a "b.f.'s" wealth to BUY into showbusiness. My foundation is in REAL showbusiness, Michael.
Michael .. you've tried to HURT ME, you've attempted to take stars, money, studios, reputation/business away from me. AND ... you've done it all in public. Maybe in Russia they allow that to happen. They do NOT in the U.S.
This is my formal AND my LAST DEMAND for you to CEASE and DESIST with your ILLEGAL actions against me. Tell me to my face what you think of me. DO NOT TELL IT TO ANYONE ELSE. It is NOT fact. It is your OWN opinion. AND ... when you post, state, mail, phone, comment things about another person ... that are NOT facts ... and are meant to be injurious to the person's fame, business, reputation, income, etc. ... you are breaking civil laws of this country.
This latest posting on you blog must be removed at once. You must apologize, in writing, on your blog, for what you stated. Failure to do so ... TODAY (March 16, 2007) will force me to go to all legal avenues to bring justice to this matter.
I am appearing, tonight, on Jason Sechrest's KSEXRadio.com weekly show, "The Young & The Curious." I arranged for CHAD HUNT to be on the show, also. Cute, hey? I hope I can tell everyone that you DID the right thing TODAY.
By the way ... let's NOT forget your lovely TV appearance on Rickie Lake ... yes, the show with BILLY BRANDT. You did your best to HURT HIM, also .. which, in turn ... came back to hurt me.
I've managed to survive all of the crap you've done ... but not without plenty of losses. NOW you are going to find out that, "what goes around/comes around."
Happy St. Patrick's Day,
DAVID FOREST

A picture post: GMHC, Ben @ Loehmann's & New Mags
I had the great honor of attending the Gay Men's Health Crisis Anniversary dinner on Monday night. I've long supported everything the GMHC stands for. It was a great event where I got to meet some new people. Also, my company ran an ad in the dinner program. I believe we're the first porn company to do so.
Phil Donahue

Larry Kramer

Along with starring in our release "Michael Lucas' The Bigger The Better," our exclusive Ben Andrews is now appearing in the windows of Loehmann's here in New York as a model for their clothes. Yes, he looks great IN clothes too! I'm really proud that he got the gig, photographed by Joe Oppedisano. Below is a photo of one of the displays. He's the guy kneeling. You can see more on Ben's Myspace blog here.

And finally, our models are on the covers of two major adult magazines for April: exclusive Ray Star is on Unzipped with his photoshoot by Joe Oppedisano, and Ted Colunga is on the cover of Men for his "Uncut Cock Pool Party" layout. Congrats, guys!

All about the gossip
There are a lot of rumors lately about Lucas Entertainment in the press and on blogs. I know I am not perhaps the most popular person among some in the industry, but ever since we swept the GAYVN awards, the drumbeat seems to be increasing. There is even speculation that our success at the awards was somehow due to a hostile conspiracy in the industry.
A "source" speculates in Queerty as follows:
"Some say that people voted for him repeatedly simply to bring more attention to what he did. In other words, the more attention he gets (which he actually wants, btw), the more there's a chance of harsh legal action coming his way."
I am much given to conspiracy theories myself, but even I can't believe that our industry would achieve that degree of coordination—just to get back at me!
Let me make it very clear to all the cicadas, big and small, to all the hens who run around clucking "cluck cluck": Lucas Entertainment has been operating for almost 10 years. We have proven our abilities and we are not going anywhere.
There is a growing trend here in New York by new companies to portray themselves as "spunky upstarts" against the "bullying giant" Lucas Entertainment and to leech off of our publicity. That's obviously flattering for us, though sometimes it becomes so blatant, it's a little annoying. But make no mistake, success comes in the market with our public, and not in the blogs though industry gossip. And what counts with our public are hard work, new ideas, and talent. If you want to make money today, you need a brand that's recognized by the customer, not just by the gossip pages of the industry. And to build such a brand in today's environment is a slow and expensive process with uncertain outcomes. That's where your energies should be, not in spinning some bizarre conspiracies.
I am sure you have read about the "coalition" of companies supposedly forming against me in New York City, which some gossip columnists are reporting about lately. Take for instance this little tidbit from Will Clark's newsletter:
"Speaking of slugging it out I hear whispers that at least two of the smaller struggling gay porn companies located here in New York are in talks to join forces to combat the powerhouse of Lucas Entertainment's dominance over the porn shops...talk about combining budgets, talent and administrative is rumored to be taking place even as I write this..."
This right here is one of my favorite fantasies, my company's supposed "dominance" of New York stores. I wish it were true, but if you look at any of the New York stores, you will see that it is not. ALL the A-List studios are fully represented on the shelves. If some new company has trouble getting space on those shelves, it's not because of Lucas... or Channel 1... or Titan. It's because of the flood of bareback movies, twinky and otherwise. Like it or not (and I don't), but that's where the sales are today, and that's what's getting the shelf space. You can bray as much as you want about the powerhouse that we supposedly are (thanks for the compliment!) but in the end your REAL competition for space is all those barebacking twinks.
If a couple of small studios want to cut costs by sharing overhead, that seems like a great idea to me. But be straight to the world (and especially to your backers) about why you are doing it. You are doing it for sheer survival and not because of one specific competitor.
There's also this little piece of news from Jossip:
"Couple all that with rumors we've heard about a new New York gay porn biz coming to town – to directly compete with Lucas Films..."
Once again, it's all about Lucas Entertainment, and we're flattered. However, why "a new New York gay porn biz coming to town" should be of particular interest to us escapes me. We already compete directly with dozens of excellent companies in the industry, and I'd say that we are doing quite well. There are many studios in San Francisco, for example, and they all do more or less well for themselves, depending on the quality of their product. If anything, having more studios in New York can only help our own business as it brings more models, resources, and publicity to the city.
Let me conclude by saying that I love competition. It makes the business more interesting and makes us more productive and creative. So I endorse it and we are always open to co-operate with studios, in New York or elsewhere. But I would say this to the many budding upstarts who may or may not succeed: Lucas Entertainment already exists. We have made our name through the distinctive style of our product and a good working relationship with the trade. You are more likely to succeed by concentrating on developing your own distinctive identity than by ranting on and on about the supposed big, bad Lucas Entertainnment.
We may be big, but let me assure you, we are not bad.
PS - Talking about rumors, I'm hearing from Mark Adams that I'm not going to be nominated for the Grabbys for "Michael Lucas' La DolceVita," or any other of my films. This does not come as a suprise for me, as they always blacklist me from any awards anyway. What really gets me is that they say they've never received any of my films. The true fact is that Stacy Bridge passed by me at the Colt Party before GAYVNs and told me not to get too excited, as he'd rather drop dead than give my company one award! So there you have it. Now they are lying that I didn't submit my films to them for consideration. They have my films. They got my films. What liars. Whether they nominated me in the past or not, I never won. Take last year's "Michael Lucas' Dangerous Liaisons." Nothing for it. And this year, not even a nomination? How low is it, that for me, speaking my mind years ago, I am now stripped of any awards? All because I think that David Forest is an embarrassment to the adult community? It's absurd.

Friends
I've always been blessed to be surrounded by a lot of people, friends, acquaintances, etc. With some of my friends, we go back as long as 20 years. Some I still know from grade school and university in Russia, some I met in Europe while I was living there, but of course the majority of my friends are now from New York. My parties and dinners, which I throw very often, are always well attended and very often my evenings are double booked for birthdays and events. I believe one of the reasons I am fortunate enough to have so many friends is that I do not expect anything in return from them. I am fine with just having a good time. I happen to believe that everyone in this world should stand up for and count on himself.
As you all know, I also have quite a few enemies—those jealous creatures who use every opportunity to spread lies about me in their magazines and blogs. A perfect example is the once very popular—but now nearly forgotten—website, Queerty. It was very friendly to me while Bradford Shellhammer was editor of the site, but as of late it has become incredibly hostile and slanderous towards me ever since Andrew Belonski took over the blog. This week Bradford asked Queerty to remove his name as Editor-At-Large from the site, as he is no longer interested in being associated with the blog due to, among other things, the site's treatment of me.
I have to say that I was genuinely surprised that someone would actually go out of their way on my behalf, as I never expect anyone to do anything for me personally, not even my close friends. Goodness, how great it feels to know that your friend is loyal to you and will stand up for you.

Rewriting History: How Hollywood homophobes stole Sparta
Last night a friend dragged me to watch the film "300." I hadn't read any reviews so I didn't know what to expect, and what a nasty surprise it turned out to be. I'm not even going to discuss with you any of the production flaws that this almost cartoon-like film consisted of. As I have always been interested in history and have read many books on ancient Greece, Rome, etc., I of course know quite a bit about Sparta, so it really irks me how much the filmmakers decided to change almost everything about it.
The Spartan army was known as the "Army of Lovers." It consisted of the strongest, bravest, and most fearless homosexual men who did everything together—they fought together, slept together, ate together, had fun together, and had sex together. Their strength involved not only their dedication to Greece, but their love for one another as well. While fighting they always kept in mind the protection of their lovers fighting at their sides.
Now the homophobes in Hollywood have stripped us of our pride and history by turning the glory of this legendary army into a bunch of heterosexual warriors who couldn't keep their minds off of their wives' titties throughout the movie. Furthermore, the movie is awash with heterosexual love-making scenes, and to add insult to injury, the single most negative character they depicted, the King of the Persians, was clearly made out to be homosexual. They make him into a parody of a gay man with long painted nails, lipstick, thin eyebrows, tons of earrings, and feminine costumes.
The Spartans did not love women, they used them only for reproduction. Historical books document that Spartan men came to women only to inseminate them, in the darkness, no less.
I would like to say to all the gay writers who wrote glowing reviews of this movie just because it was filled with bulging muscles and abs: I know that some of you have barely made it past kindergarten and have a knowledge of history and geography that consists of the U.S. state capitols, if that. So before getting all excited and hot over some images of men's behinds, do some research. There's plenty of widely available information on the internet that you can educate yourself with. If we do not know our own history, we will never be respected and we will always be portrayed like the characters in "The Birdcage," and the glory of the Spartans, along with our other accomplishments, will be credited to those "manly" men who represent us as fags at every opportunity.
PS - I'm not confusing the Spartan "Army of Lovers" with the Sacred Band of Thebes, as some of my readers are suggesting. I know what I'm talking about. Some of the comments below are just repeating the same homophobic propaganda about Sparta I'm talking about above and are just catering to those who want to tell us that homosexuality was viewed as a sin in every culture. Let's just be happy that it is not the case.

Fucking in Fort Lauderdale
I'm in beautiful Fort Lauderdale filming a new movie and a bunch of Auditions. I'm loving the weather, the nature, and of course the hot guys! There are lots of different ethnicities here and guys who haven't been discovered by any big studio yet. I'm also working with my exclusive who lives down here, Ray Star (who's on the cover of April's UNZIPPED). Plus I've brought down Jonathan Vargas for a few scenes as well.
On Monday the 5th I am presenting at the Sleazy Awards at a club called Elements (soon to be Scandals). Come and say hello!
Also, I will be on the Derek and Romaine Show on Sirius satellite radio TONIGHT (Friday) at around 8:20pm to discuss the GAYVNS. Tune in for it.
