What interested you in working for Lucas Entertainment?
Several things. The production value of the work. I mentioned in a previous blog that there is a quality to the product which brings a certain NYC/real-life feeling to the viewer as opposed to seeming theatrical or soapopera-ish. Also, I love NYC. By joining Lucas as an exclusive and doing a run off-broadway, I'm living out a life-long dream.
What was your experience working with Michael? (optional question)
Optional?? Hell no! Again, in that same blog I mentioned that despite hearing all the horror stories of working with Michael (and I do mean ALL!), the experience was nothing but great. Michael was kind and appreciative while still being able to take control when necessary. I was involved in two larger scenes involving a lot of extras, and he was able to give directions, to get the work done, and be to be grateful for their participation. Sure he kept looking for a mirror, but then so was I.
What attracted you to doing Michael Lucas' La Dolce Vita?
Being a part of something on this sort of scale is unquestionably the smartest thing I could ever do. Michael is the king of PR (Heather being the Queen), and the exposure he is receiving is unparalleled in the industry. It's blurring the line between gay and straight and between porn and mainstream media. I believe LDV will be a benchmark for a new generation of film making. How could I not be a part of that?
What did you like most about the experience?
It was the opportunity to actual act. Because my main scenes were with Michael, I had the benefit of having his acting coach there to help me out. It's been a long time since I've had that sort of professional assistance in terms of acting. It was great to feel how the scene evolved from our first rehearsal reading to the real thing. And, because my character was rather complex, I was able to force myself into an emotional area rarely seen in the realm of porn.
What is your character?
My character is the successful sage who acts as Michael's mentor. I'm a famous author who represents everything Michael is striving for, and yet I am the one who suffers at the end of the film because of the life I lead.
Describe your scene.
You meet me as I am hosting a party and where you begin to understand I have an affinity for younger men. Michael actually spies on me while I am having sex with my 19 y.o. date in my closet. Later, Michael and I have a scene where I am about to be arrested. Why? What do you think?
Any funny or steamy stories from the set?
Let's just say that my scene with Jamie Donovan was quite nice. I am usually unsure about working with younger guys. Especially guys who are 18 years younger than me--OMG, I'm a Daddy? But Jamie was just so adorable, I was easily able to slip into the role of being infatuated with him. I think the sex scene is going to play extremely well.
What was your favorite moment while working on Michael Lucas' La Dolce Vita?
I really enjoyed the fashion show scene because I didn't have to worry about lines or acting. It's the opening scene of the movie, and I'm basically just an audience member sitting next to Michael. I was really impressed with how well the Lucas Entertainent staff pulled this show together. What could have been a logistical nightmare turned out to be a well-run show with great entertainment (Kevin and the models).
How do you think this will impact your porn career?
There's no telling. What I can say is that it was a great career move. It will result in future opportunities---what those are doesn't even matter. It's important for me to recognize open doors and to walk through when they present themselves. LDV was such a door and will lead me into a room of other choices.

Working with the infamous Michael Lucas! Anyone who works in the industry knows of Michael Lucas, his reputation definitely precedes him, so I wanted the chance to experience it for myself. Not to mention, Michael's movies get great reviews and awards.
What was your experience working with Michael?
This was the second time I worked with Michael and Lucas Entertainment, the first was last year filming Fire Island Cruising 7 and 8. I've enjoyed both experiences a lot and really look forward to working with him more in the future. Michael has always treated me well and been totally professional, and the rest of the cast and crew are great to be around and work with too!
What attracted you to doing Michael Lucas' La Dolce Vita?
Michael said he wanted me to be in it last year shortly after filming Fire Island Cruising 7 and 8 because he wanted to see me dressed up in a nice tailored suit. That alone sounded fun, but then with all the hype and publicity that it was getting even before we started filming it, I knew right away it was something I wanted to be a part of. I like working on films that actually have a story, it was nice to do something different for a change.
What did you like most about the experience?
There were a lot of things I liked about this experience, but I think it was the cast and crew that made it great. This movie had such a large cast of top porn stars that it was really fun to see everybody again and get to work with some that I hadn't had the chance to meet yet.
What is your character?
I played Derrick. He is one of the models in the fashion show.
Describe your scene.
After the fashion show, I left to go to the club Crowbar with some friends, but it was so crowded, I ended up leaving. While I'm outside hailing a cab, Michael and Jason Ridge pull up in their limo and ask me if I need a ride. I get in and take them to my apartment in Brooklyn to get them stoned. We are all hanging out in my apartment, drinking and smoking pot, and one thing leads to another and we end up having a really hot three-way.
Any funny or steamy stories from the set?
The day we were going to film the sex scene in my apartment in
Brooklyn, everyone arrives at this apartment they had rented for the
scene which turned out to have no air conditioning and was way too
small to film a threeway in, so at the very last minute, we had to haul all the equipment, cast and crew to another location to film the scene.
What was your favorite moment while working on Michael Lucas' La Dolce Vita?
My favorite part definitely had to be the fashion show! The fashion show was SO much fun! I haven't done runway in years! I had forgotten how exciting it could be: the great clothes, the chaos and frenzy, the cameras and paparazzi, the celebrities and hipsters... for those of you who weren't there, even though the fashion show is for the movie, we treated it just like a real fashion show! No cuts, no second takes or re-do's, and maybe 2-3 minutes to change into your next outfit! I had a really great time! One of my favorite parts of the day was meeting Amanda Lepore (who looked really amazing too I might add)!

I just read this article about a homophobic gay for pay pornstar who murdered a gay man.

When I was going to college in Russia, I had a wealthy friend whose favorite hobby was getting prostitutes. He went specifically for the penniless, desperate straight soldiers. He would pay to fuck them up the ass. My friend told me it was very dangerous but he liked the risk, and he always told me he was not interested in "gay sex" with his "sisters".
Well he was killed. The prostitute stabbed him 9 times all over his body in his throat and stomach. My friend was found lying in a pool of his own blood on the floor of a rented apartment. The straight soldier said that he was sexually abused, a story which won the sympathy of the Soviet jury.
If you really want to pay for sex, let's keep the money in the community- whether you are talking porn or your private sex life. I really hate those fags who hit on straight men. It's not just embarrassing, it's also dangerous. Like there are not enough hot gay men out there!
I've always thought that gay people should not get sexually involved with gay men.

Falling in love again ...
With Jason at the Out 100 Awards on Friday
I had breakfast with Marc Jacobs this morning, and to my surprise, the first thing that Marc told me is that he is back with his ex boyfriend Jason. But was I really surprised? No. It was always clear that Marc never stopped loving Jason. And what's not to like? The guy is hot and fun to be around. Of course there are all these little problems, like being too young and complicated and everything that comes with that. But as Marlene Deitrich sings, "Love has always been my game. Play it how I may." Jacobs likes the game, and as far as I know Jason, he's got a lot of it!
Later on we ran into Jason's friend. After Marc told him the news about their reunion, this guy started going on about what a horrible idea it was for them to get back together. There will be many people talking like this to Marc. And if this is Jason's friend, imagine all the crap Marc will here from his own friends.
Marc is at the point in his life where he can do whatever he wants. And if he hasn't gotten over Jason after this long, then there is probably something about their relationship that works. Life is short, do what you want when you can - especially when it comes to love.
The epilogue? Well, Marc is working on getting Jason a passport as Jason has never left the country. This way they can be together for Thanksgiving in Paris. Isn't that romantic?

Out 100 Event

Michael Lucas' La Dolce Vita Star Spotlight: Erik Grant
I started working with Erik Grant a few years ago. He was in great movies such as Manhattan Heat and Fire Island Cruising 7 & 8. People responded right away to his hot, lean body and bright blue eyes. He is more of a top, but he wants to bottom at some point. The Late October Surprise

Did John Kerry lose the 2004 elections because he is stupid? Yeah, I think so.
I am guessing that he was at least gently dropped on his head as a child. You have got to be an idiot to lose an election to W.

I am a bodyguard for the fashion designer, Jack Bond.
Describe your scene.
Jack is giving me a really hard time pulling some real old school sexual harrassment on me- like threatening to fire me if I don't let him touch my cock. But I bend his ass over and wind up fucking him, it's really hot.
How do you think this will impact your porn career?
I'm sure it will give me more exposure which is cool. But I kind of keep to myself in my private life so I'm not sure if I'm ready for it. I just hope you guys like watching my scenes as much as I like doing them.
