Michael's Mailbox: All American Hetero?

Here are some negative responses about me using Savanna Samson in the film that I wanted to address:
"Maybe i will change my mind when I see the scene in the film, but why not show homophobic Hollywood how glamorous a scene with Michael kissing and sweeping another man off his feet could be? And then Michael would not have had to offer us his slightly guilty explanation.""Interesting Page 6 mention today. On at least one other website, in reaction to that piece about the fountain scene, I read that this confirms what some people believe, which is you are ....secretly straight."
"All in the name of art? I don't think so Michael. You give women the impression they can overpower not only hetero but even gay men. That's a low!! Ew"
Well, if someone thinks I am straight, then I don't know what being gay is. Maybe I should've traded wardrobe with Savanna to be recognized as a gay man?
Michael Lucas' La Dolce Vita is a movie with a storyline. It's not just porn, it's a real film and I can't create a real story with women absent from the picture. Can you imagine Brokeback Mountain with only men in it? I'm sorry but we all came out of the vagina and there's women in our lives whether you like it or not.
Gay people do love women. Why do you think that all the designers who dress women are gay? Why do you think the majority of the fashion world is gay? Why do you think the muses of all the famous gay photographers are women?
I want to make clear once again that there is no heterosexual action in my movie whatsoever. It's all hot, gorgeous, man on man sex. To those of you who think I am secretly straight- whatever that is supposed to mean- just watch the movie! I'd be really curious how straight you think I am after watching me with Spencer Quest for example. Find me one straight man who would eat another man's ass with that enthusiasm and you can call me Michael McPussyLover Lucas.
I am extremely thankful for the contribution Savanna Samson made to our film, and you should be too. Aside from being absolutely gorgeous, professional, and possessing natural acting talent on camera, she is a very famous leading porn lady in the straight world. Her appearance as a straight adult star in a gay movie is the first crossover of its kind. And I'm sorry to break the news to some of you, but this is a straight world and heteros still largely dominate mainstream media. Savanna is an accomplished straight talent driving mainstream attention to a gay movie and we should thank her for that. Hell, in that respect she's like the Ang Lee of porn.

I really don't see what the fuss is all about regarding Savanna's appearance in the film. I think some people need to get over themselves. The fact is that gay men love women. Why do you think gay men love Madonna, Mariah, Celine, Whitney, Barbra, Cher and so forth? It disturbs me that some gay men are so hateful towards women. We need women in our lives because these ladies are often our best friends and without them some of us would be a mess due to the harsh realities we face. The people who complained about Miss Samson's small role need to look within themselves and come to terms with why they choose to be such haters.

Who really fucking cares what you are...gay, straight, a hermaphrodite, fucking your cat....to those who do-get a life A.S.A.P.
Some queers are really pathetic....

Don't feel you need to justify yourself to anyone.
I, for one, can't wait to see your 'La Dolce Vita.' I'll be wishing you were eating my ass!
Best wishes.

I have watched all of Michael's productions. He is gay, and enjoys hot sex with men. As for Savanna appearing in La Dolce Vita, I think it will enhance the story line and bring added glamour to what appears to be the BEST gay porn ever made. And I can't wait to see Michael and Spencer fucking, sucking and rimming.

Michael, i wrote the first comment you supposedly are responding to, but I have to say I don't think you responded to my points at all. I kind of resent being lumped tgether with the really crazy comments suggesting that you are or want to be straight. that is just silly. My point was that, as someone who has done so much to further the cause of gay acceptance and gay rights, why would you, for what you yourself clearly think is one of the highlights of the film, suddenly switch and use a woman as your partner for this "glamorous hollywood moment". That in my opinion is simply not consistent with much of what you have done and said in the past, which is why you felt compelled to provide us with your" slightly guilty explanation". Despite my misgivings about this scene, the overall film looks to be great ( as is most of your work), and maybe I'll change my mind about the scene when i see it in context ( as I said in my original message).

Dear Michael McAssLover Lucas:
Your saying that we all came out of the vagina reminds me to ask you: What's the good part of being a test tube baby?
You get a womb with a view.
Would these people have been happy if you had cast Lady Bunny in this role instead of Savanna Samson? The first thing they should keep in mind is that the bulk of the audience for this film is gay men. So it's not as if you were sending a message about non-self-acceptance to Mr. and Mrs. John Doe. And given the graphic depictions of gay sex in the movie, and the public appearances of obviously gay people together in it, you obviously aren't advocating for repression.
Then too, this movie is inspired by Fellini's of the same title. The whole imagery of the fountain scene depends on the female doing the splashing being a female. The original has gay characters; you've added the gay sex.
So I repeat; what do these people criticizing you want? Lady Bunny in the fountain?

I wrote the second quote, which was just talking about the reaction to that very day's New York Post Page Six mention about you and Savannah "rocking the trailer" , which as we all probably know in NY Post-speak means sex in the trailer.
And not that it matters what I think, but I can assure you Michael not only do I think you are gay, but Michael I think you are uber-gay.
I hope this ultimately sells more movies for you, because the stills look amazing, I am really eager to see your film.

point delivered colder than a well-digger's posterior ... Lucas, you are the bomb!

"...what do these people criticizing you want? Lady Bunny in the fountain?"..
LOL, too funny! And don't you know Miss Bunny would work the hell out of that fountain scene!!!! (I envision Bunny using her long wet wig as a weapon; lashing Michael down to the slippery side of the fountain, and having her naughty Blonde way!!! LOL)
And just to chime in on the Savanna Samson thread.... I had the happy job of playing a paparazzo in "La Dolce Vita" (in other words, I was an extra). I had several different scenes throughout the first week of filming. I got to meet Savanna early (I mean 6am type early) on the morning of my 2nd shoot for L.D.V. And though everyone was tired, and at that hour, had a right to be cranky; Savanna was entirely professional (she knew her lines), very sweet, and though I don't go that way, very attractive. I liked her.
just my two cents.

those comments were so unnecessary. Come on guys, so what if there is a chick in the film. I've seen plenty of porn with a woman or two in it. Did effect the movie... not at all. Besides, Michael Lucas is taking porn in a whole new direction. I mean we actually have porn with a story line. After Dangerous Liasons I've been hooked to Michael. I can only imagine how this film is going to turn out. I am extremely anxious to see it and can't wait to get myself a copy. And by the way.. if the movie is as good as the photo stills taken, we can expect a fabulous and sexy movie.

Michael, I honestly don't know how you do it. Every move you make turns into one big controversy. What's your secret?

So what that there's a woman in this film?!?! There were women in the Joe Gage Trucking Trilogy and those films are considered classics! I remember watching a really old Falcon movie that had straight sex in it. Chi-Chi has had women (and alot of drag queens) in her videos and I didn't hear anyone complaining. Heck, Kristen Bjorn had a scene where a girl comes in and watches the guys fucking while blowing bubbles with her gum!
I'm not even going to get into the fact that for alot of gay men, the first porn they saw was straight porn.
