August Answers!
Hey guys, here are the answers to August round of Lucasblog Q & A:
Hi Michael. Do you speak Russian? Is it a beautiful language?
Posted by: Eric at August 3, 2006 12:36 PM
Dear Eric,
Of course I speak Russian! I lived in Moscow until 1995. It can be a beautiful language when it is well spoken. Unfortunately the majority of Russians don't speak good Russian! It often hurts my ears when I run into Russians in the US. My mother taught Russian literature so I always notice these things.

I d like to ask u abt care for your penis. Do u specially treat your 4skin? Do u - sometimes - wear it retracted while flaccid? Do u use creams? How often u shave your balls?
Posted by: Mark at August 3, 2006 12:53 PM
Hi Mark, I am a very clean person. Foreskin does not need any special treatment- not more than any other part of your body. As for my balls, I don't shave them.

Which Hollywood star would you want up your ass? Which would you rather shoot that fuck?
Posted by: Jeff at August 3, 2006 01:08 PM
I should probably say that I would like to shoot Mel Gibson, but I don't think there is a need for that because he pretty much committed suicide. I have fucked many Hollywood stars in my crazy life, but I don't have a thing for celebrities.
--------
Hi Michael,
I love your films (for the most part), but my one complaint is the lack of black men in your films. You always harp on the fact that you shoot in an ethnicly diverse New York, but your films (of late) are pretty vanilla, with a little latin flava. Why no black exclusives?
Posted by: michael at August 3, 2006 01:25 PM
Dear Michael,
I have some black models in my films, but I wish I had much more! The problem is that black guys do not often come in for casting. We get about 40% latin guys, 50% white. Asian and black guys are hard to find. I believe it has to do with the black community being more closeted and homophobic, but I am confident that this will change.
-------
Dear Michael,
When will we be able to get the first glimpse of your latest exclusive Jarett Fox?
Posted by: Mark at August 3, 2006 01:30 PM
Hi Mark,
Jarett Fox's audition scene will be available online for the members of lucasentertainment.com as soon as next week. As for DVD, I am not yet sure when this scene will be released. So become a member! I have the cheapest membership and you can see all of my movies online. We also shoot a lot of exclusive material just for lucasentertainment.com.

Hi Michael:
Do you believe that the more Democrats who are elected in November, the easier it will be for the GLBT community to successfully bring pressure on our government to speak out about human rights abuses against GLBT people in Muslim countries?
Posted by: Scott Rose at August 3, 2006 01:59 PM
Dear Scott,
Hopefully, but I think we should start with our own gay leaders talking about the abuse of gay people all over the world! I don't think American gay organizations issued any strong protest against the cancellation of gay pride in Moscow or against homophobic incidents in eastern European countries like Poland.

What do you think about the leader of the UN, Kofi Annan and his reaction to the Israel/Lebanon conflict?
Posted by: TerryOG at August 3, 2006 01:59 PM
Dear TerryOG,
Kofi Annan is the enemy of Israel and not a friend of the United States. He is a corrupt anti-semite. Check my previous blog and you will find a picture of him and the Hezbollah leader Nasrallah shaking hands.
I think this picture is worth a thousand words.

Hello Mr. Lucas.
I am a Production Stage Manager in NY and NJ for the last 13 years. I have wanted to change professions and get into the adult film industry as a production manager or supervisor, starting out, of course, as an assistant of some kind to learn the ropes.
How would you suggest that someone could go about this career change?
I think your movies are spectacular, the quality is wonderful because you do something that others dont - you show passion and depth of characters with a bit of an edge. You also are not afraid to venture into the realm of society's self imposed taboos. That's a really nice departure from the usual fluff we get in adult films.
Thanks for your advice and keep up the great work!
Posted by: Gary at August 3, 2006 02:12 PM
Dear Gary,
Thank you very much for your kind words. The best way to get a job in porn is to send your resume to the adult company where you want to work.
-------
You've said time and again you'd never bottom on screen.
What do you have against bottoming? Do you think it's emasculating?
You've made a career out of making other men bottom for you. Don't you think it's time to give back to the universe?
p.s. have you ever bottomed off-camera?
Posted by: annie at August 3, 2006 02:34 PM
Dear Annie,
I am a top and I do not bottom either on camera or in my private life. It's not a question of being for it or against it. It's about what you like or dislike. It's important to do what you like to do! There are masculine gay men who are bottoms, versatiles and who are tops. Your sexual preference (top/bottom) does not have anything to do with masculinity.

Hi Michael
I love your work! I was just wondering how you feel about the proliferation of barebacking porn in the industry today. It is a complex issue for me. I do not bareback in my personal life but I love watching it in porn. I have heard it stated that companies like Hot Desert Knights, SX Video, Treasure Island Media, Spunk, and Dick Wadd are partly responsible for the rising rates of HIV and STDs, but it might not be that simple. Where do you stand on barebacking and its depiction in adult materials?
Jake
Posted by: Jake at August 3, 2006 03:26 PM
Dear Jake,
I personally always use a condom and this is my choice. I believe that after having as much sex as I have had in my life with so many partners that I am negative for this simple reason.
---------
Michael,
I will be in New York from aug12-16 at the W Times Square. Can I fuck you then?
XOXO
Shane
Posted by: Shane at August 3, 2006 03:26 PM
No, but if you are a good tipper, I am sure that you can fuck someone from the hotel staff. I've always had a lovely time at W hotels across the country.

Dear Michael,
What do you think about the Mel Gibson thing?
- Aaron from Cali
Posted by: Aaron at August 3, 2006 03:41 PM
Dear Aaron,
His anti-semetic rants did not come to me as a surprise. I very much remember his gay bashing years ago.
When Spanish newspaper El Pais asked Gibson about homosexuals, he shot back: 'They take it up the [ass].' Then pointing at his behind, he said, 'This is only for taking a [shit].' He told the reporter that he was once worried that if he became an actor, people would think he was gay. 'But with this look, who's going to think I'm gay?' he asked. 'It would be hard to take me for someone like that. Do I sound like a homosexual? Do I talk like them? Do I move like them?' After some people were offended by his comments, Playboy asked him if he would apologize. 'I'll apologize when hell freezes over,' he said. Later, when the Washington Post asked Gibson if he was 'tolerant,' he replied: 'Ahhh, I like to think I am. Perhaps I'm not.'
You see, anti-semitism, racism and homophobia usually go together.

Don't you think Israel should care about the world's opinion??
Posted by: Izzy at August 3, 2006 03:44 PM
Izzy,
Israel should not have to choose between the world's opinion and their own existence. Muslim countries are afraid of Israel because it is exactly the kind of scientific, free spirited, fun loving and life loving culture that threatens its neighbors. They cannot adjust to or accept the Israeli or Western way of life. Look at those who are the biggest critics of Israel- France and Russia. They say that Israel should restrain their defense. Russian President Putin basically leveled Czechnya, killing thousands of civilians. President Chirac said that he would use nuclear weapons against any state that organized a terrorist attacck in France. It is interesting how little those leaders learned about muslim fanaticism despite their bitter experience with it. Trust me, all of the European nations and the US would not respond any more gently than Israel has.

Michael,
Would you ever do a scene with Rod Barry? How about Michael Brandon?
Posted by: Russ at August 3, 2006 03:54 PM
Sure. I've known Rod for the past 10 years. He is a fun guy. I also vaguely know Mike Brandon.

Why do you think that people like dildos- isn't the real thing much better!

Whatever happened to John Paulus and Dante?
Posted by: chris at August 3, 2006 04:46 PM
Phillip Dante has a boyfriend in Berlin and is not interested in doing porn right now. I am not really in touch with John Paulus at this time. I believe he is a little overwhelmed with his website.

I know you don't approve of drug use. What about poppers?
Posted by: Donald in Toronto at August 3, 2006 04:46 PM
Dear Donald,
I don't have anything against people using poppers in their private life, but poppers are not aloud on the set. They have such a strong smell. The film crew and the other model cannot work in a room full of poppers.

oh yay! ok can i have 2 and a half questions?
Do you know about the situation in Palestine? If yes, why do you believe in the goodness of the Israeli government?
Will you ever make "real life sex" type porn like Comstock films?
Posted by: thatgirl at August 3, 2006 04:57 PM
As for "real life sex", my movies are as real as it gets.
As for Palestine, here's some information and my response:
The Land of Ancient Israel extended from the Suez area to the banks of the Euphrates, and the Jewish civilization in it began its flourishing prior to 2,000BC. Arabs only set foot in it, attacking out of the Eastern Roman Empire, in the 600sAD.
After that time, in many areas for almost 1,300 years Muslims dominated, treating the Jews who lived there as dhimmis, second-class citizens. From 1299 to 1923, the region was dominated and administered by the Ottoman Turks, Muslims but not Arabs.
In the 20th century, as momentum gathered towards the re-establishment of the ancient country of Israel, it was plain to everybody that the Jews could not have all the area that had been included in the Land of Ancient Israel. But it was equally plain that the Jews deserved some sliver of their ancient homeland on which they could enjoy self-determination, free of dhimmitude.
After 1,300 years of being treated as second-class citizens by Muslims, the Jews of the Middle East faced the threat of extinction. The Grand Mufti al-Husanyi of Jerusalem, a Muslim leader, allied himself with the Nazis in an attempt to bring the "final solution" to all the countries in the Middle East. You should know, also, that he attempted to have those countries cut off the flow of oil to the Allies so the Nazis would have a better chance of winning. Had the Allies not won the war, the one million Jews living in countries from Morocco to Iran would likely have been exterminated.
In 1947, the UN attempted to settle the Arab/Jewish dispute with a partition plan that would have given land to the Jews, land to the Arabs, and it would have made Jerusalem a UN protectorate belonging to nobody. The Jews accepted that plan, the Arabs rejected it.
In 1948, Israel was re-established as a country. The declaration of that event contains the following language:
"WE APPEAL - in the very midst of the onslaught launched against us now for months - to the Arab inhabitants of the State of Israel to preserve peace and participate in the upbuilding of the State on the basis of full and equal citizenship and due representation in all its provisional and permanent institutions."
It couldn't be any plainer; the Jews of Israel were offering full legal equality to the Arabs living in their newly re-established country. The next day, the Arabs attacked Israel. One of the initiators of that war was the Grand Mufti al-Husanyi, the one who had been allied with the Nazis and wanted to exterminate all the Jews in the Middle East. It was the 1948 war that created the "Palestinian" refugee situation. There was a parallel refugee crisis of Jews from other Mid Eastern countries. Those who were even able to escape with their lives had all their property and assets confiscated. Many were successfully absorbed by Israel, with no help from UN agencies. By contrast, in Lebanon, Syria, Transjordan, et cetera, wherever there were Arab refugees considered "Palestinians," the host governments did nothing to improve the lot of those people. To this day, "Palestinians" in Lebanon and Syria are not given Lebanese or Syrian citizenship.
I could write a lot more about "the situation in Palestine." But you know, your two questions implied a belief on your part that the Israeli government is some nefarious entity conspiring to do evil to "the Palestinians." So I want to ask you; were you aware of the things I wrote above? Are you capable of acknowledging that your previous opinion was formed by obnoxious anti-Israeli propaganda that neither mentions nor takes into account all the things I taught you above?

Hey Michael,
Why do most of your movies have the same feel to them? It's basically the same movie just with different actors and titles.
It's all pretty vanilla sex, hot guys with big dicks and that's about it. There's never a leather video, never a bondage video, never a wrestling video or anything like that.
I think you have some hot models that you work with, why don't you do something different with them??????
Posted by: Steve at August 3, 2006 05:30 PM
Sweetheart, did you ever watch the director's cuts of my movies? If not, buy them directly from lucasentertainment.com. They always have fisting, watersports, spitting and more! It's true, I do not do leather movies. But that doesn't mean that my movies are vanilla, unless you consider watersports and fisting vanilla. My films are incredibly edgy even though my guys are not in leather or smoking cigars.

Dear Michael: Is their a way that we can set up a fund through you, or come up with a fundraising event with the help of u you! to help gay Israel men seek asylum or something that is dear to your heart to help individuals of some sorts that are gay? I dont believe in giving my money to any gay non profit organization because of what you have said in the past! Alex
Posted by: alex at August 3, 2006 05:43 PM
I am really not sure what the fuck you are talking about. Unlike the United States, Israeli gay men are enjoying full benefits of equal rights. They do not have something as disgusting as "don't ask don't tell". Gay Israelis proudly serve in their army. They also have gay organizations in the army and Israel has civil unions. On top of this, the Tel Aviv gay scene is even more open than in New York. I performed in Israel 2 years in a row in both Haifa and Tel Aviv. My performance is a live sex show. Did you ever hear about live sex shows being allowed in the US? I go through Israeli customs with a work visa. When security asks me why I am coming to Israel, I always respond that I am a gay adult performer and I am doing a live sex show. I think that if a foreigner said the same thing in US, he would be stuck in customs and humiliated for some time before being put back on a plane. And FYI- gay muslims seek their asylum in Israel since it is the only country in the middle east where you can be openly gay and proud.

Hey Lucas - I am from the UK and I love your films. I especially love it when you involve footplay in your own scenes - is this something you enjoy yourself or simply just a way of making your movies appeal to the widest demographic?
Keep up the good work!

I absolutely love a beautiful man's feet. I always have.

Michael-- It was great meeting you when you visited Denver. Thanks for being so friendly.
I'd like to know if you have a count for the number of sex partners you've had "professionally." Have you bothered to keep track?
Thanks.
Posted by: CG at August 3, 2006 06:56 PM
Dear CG,
It was great doing a show in Denver! I dealt with good people and you made a fantastic audience.
To answer your question, I lost count of my sex partners about 10 years ago.

Michael,
Need a bit of advice... this was recommended.
Please accept my apologies, in advance, for the length; but, it is a bit complex.
My extremely closeted gay cousin (only I and a close friend knew) died recently; he was 35. He spent his entire life in the closet, and preferred it that way, as our family is ultra-religious and homophobic.
Just before his death, he asked that I go to his home (which he shared with his unknowing mother)and purge his room of any vestige of his sexuality; this I did.
Unbeknonst to me, something was taken out by his sister, which revealed his sexuality. She immediately shared this with most of the family (excepting her mother, my aunt).
Now the debate is whether to tell his mother. My friends, gay and straight, from whom I have sought advice, seemed to be divided on this issue.
The issue seems to have crystallized to the: "right to privacy" argument, evidenced by his obsession with keeping his sexuality secret VS. "the truth shall set you free" agrument, which consists of the fervent hope that in revealing his sexuality it will enlighten and broaden the views and perspectives, and therefore, the actions of the homophobic factions of the family.
It seems to me that anyone who spent their WHOLE life obsessively guarding a secret, has a right to have that secret kept; however, I am sympathetic to the feelings of my gay friends, who view my opinion as a quasi-betrayal; as though my keeping his secret, beyond the grave, is tantamount to wanting him, and by extension, them, to remain in the closet, forever; however, this is not remotely true.
I have thought of little else lately, and would appreciate and thoughts you could share.
Thanks,
John
Posted by: John at August 3, 2006 07:51 PM
I believe that if we want to make an impact on public opinion and get our rights, we have to bring people out of the closet. This particular situation is difficult so I don't know the answer for you.

Which is your favorite opera and are there any performances in the Fall season you look forward to?

Michael, in your opinion, why do you think porn is portrayed so negatively in mainstream?
Posted by: Polaris Borealis at August 3, 2006 10:43 PM
Depends what you watch and read. Porn is portrayed negatively by channels like Fox because it is a very right wing, conservative station. But if you check NY Times, CNN or HBO, you will see that porn is everywhere. Porn has saturated mainstream media to such an extent that it has become the right wing's nightmare. As porn gets more exposure, I'm sure it will inspire more backlash as well.

If you were to watch any of your own films to jerk off to, which movie and scene would you choose and why?
Posted by: Dave at August 4, 2006 12:31 AM
I love Dangerous Liaisons. The scene with Wilfried Knight and Kent Larson was especially hot.
-------
My favorite films of yours are your Auditions videos. They are the hottest because you get to actually know the people in them a little, and you can tell that they are usually having sex because they want to, not because they are getting paid. I don't usually get turned on by watching porn where I can tell that the people themselves aren't even enjoying it. (That's why I hate films with guys who are gay for pay)
That said, have you ever considered shooting a "reality show" type of film? Auditions comes close, but I think it'd be hot to lock a group of gay men in a house for a week and just see what happens. Like I said, it turns me on much more to see people actually enjoying the sex and wanting to do it. Plus the foreplay is hot, too.
Posted by: Dave at August 4, 2006 12:40 AM
Dear Dave,
Thank you for your compliment, the Auditions series is very popular for that reason. We just came out with Auditions 12 which features many great new Lucas exclusive discoveries such as Lorenzo, Steven Ponce, but, to be honest, I do not have plans for a reality show. I am a production studio and we are not set up for something like that.

Hi Michael,
I am just wondering I have never seen an Asian guy in any of ur videos. Have u ever had any asian meat?
Juan
Posted by: Juan at August 4, 2006 02:23 AM
As I answered before, unfortunately Asian guys do not apply often. I had a beautiful asian guy in the movies Love for Sale, Vengeance 2, and Restless, but I am still waiting for more! In fact, I would love to do a scene with an Asian guy, so if you are Asian, please fill out my casting form http://www.lucasentertainment.com/casting.asp
But I guess you are not Asian since you are using the word "meat".

Hello Mr. Lucas ;)
Thanks so much for giving us the chance to ask so many questions! What I would like to know is what makes you decide on the movies you shoot? I mean what makes you decide: "Hey, I like this plot" Of all the port I've seen, I've always liked your work the best because of the storylines and of course the hot guys :P
Posted by: Bren at August 4, 2006 05:33 AM
In the case of Dangerous Liaisons, I just loved the plot. In the early days I would write the script myself around the guys I had. In the past 2 years, my videographer Tony DiMarco has done a fantastic job writing screenplays and right now he is finishing the script for Michael Lucas' La Dolce Vita. I gave him the original idea which takes the storyline to New York fashion week, and he went from there. The ideas come from things that I like- from movies to books or random thoughts. My storylines are a reflection of the themes I find interesting.

Hey Michael,
Just wondered if you would ever think about moving to Israel?
Also, wonder where you stand politically within Israeli politics - which party to you support? Do you support a completely secular state in Israel?
Take care,
Ben
Posted by: Ben at August 4, 2006 10:16 AM
Dear Ben,
Israel is my home away from home and I go there every year. I will be there again in 2 weeks with a performance in the biggest club in Tel Aviv (check my blog for updates on this big event). I would not move there permanently because of my ties here. My family, job, and social life are all in New York.
I believe in a strong Israel that does not need United States' permission to protect itself. The Israeli army makes me proud. I love the new Prime Minister Ehud Olmert. As you can imagine, these days I am glued to the TV and am very upset about Israel getting such unfair press coverage.
--------
Any plans to expand on the diversity of men you have on film? You have hot latin guys and occasionally blacks guys. I'd love to see you or Chad Hunt top a cute Asian guy.
Posted by: Vinny at August 4, 2006 11:29 AM
I can't wait till beautiful Asian and black men come into my office! Seriously, please apply :)

Ok guys,
Thank you for your questions this time around. If any came late I will see if I can address them early next week. Until then, have a great weekend.
Love,
Michael
