Oh ... Those red shoes!

I got this hilarious image in my inbox last week:

People who would take offense at Michael's making fun of things surrounding Catholicism should wake up and consider that respect is a two-way street.

The Vatican today released a new document confirming its dedication to seeing GLBT people deprived of legal equality worldwide.

It's one thing if people want to make their spiritual lives revolve around the fable of a dude allegedly born to a virgin.

But it's quite another thing when the institution built around that fable, and the supporters of that institution, regularly enter the political arena to perpetuate and reinforce a bigotry that was largely of their making in the first place.

Faith is a private matter and it is never, ever valid for public policy decisions to be based on the beliefs of people brainwashed by religious claptrap.

I very strongly resent the Catholic Church's vigorous efforts to keep me from being equal before the law. I'll give the Church all the respect it deserves, once it deserves it.

Michael,

Haven't you heard?, that's from Martha Stewart's new "Pansy Print" line, or as it is known in Rome,
"What the well dressed former Hitler Youth Pedophile lover wears.

Oh what the hell, one more time:

when she clicks those red shoes together, she goes back to the Inquisition, where she belongs.

Michael, as usual your political, religious and social blog entries are quite perceptive and fun to read.

LOL, but if there ever is a lull in the news, please dedicate a blog entry to Corey Cade. I cannot pinpoint it exactly (his smile?, his personality?, etc.) but whatever "it" is, believe me he certainly has got it.
