The Three Penny Opera

On Thursday night I brought Lady Bunny as my guest to see "The Three Penny Opera," which my friend Alan Cumming is in. I must tell you that it has an amazing and really exciting cast, including Alan, Cyndi Lauper and Madonna's ex Carlos Leon.

Sitting next to Bunny was entertainment on top of the entertainment, because that bitch was commenting on everything the whole time. And at one point, when actors were snorting coke on stage, Bunny raised up from her chair and reached her gigantic arm out to try and get some. I wasn't surprised. (You can read her account of the night here.)

Alan is always impressed by my lips. I can't stop him from making fun of them!

Cyndi Lauper is my idol. In the show, 'Solomon Song' gave me goosebumps.

We went out for a lovely dinner afterwards at Elmo. I don't know where the cast gets all of its energy after singing on stage for two hours. I get exhausted after fucking in an auditions scene for one! They are much more energetic... I recommend you see this show.

I am off to Peru for vacation this week and will be back on June 1st. I've written a couple of blogs that Heather and Bryan will post for me while I'm away. I'll be in beautiful Machu Picchu and Lima. Peru is supposed to be one of the most beautiful places in the world; I can't wait to run around there with my camera. I will give you a full report when I return.

It's me again! Damn! I was in my country last week...Well, I could have been Michael's tour guide for free. If you need some tips, please ask me. You won't be disspointed in Cusco, but take care because is a very high city, I recommend you drink a cup of coca tea. In Lima don't forget to go to downtown (specially San Pedro church, and Torre Tagle house - I have contacts for visit it, or chinatown); souvenir market, restaurants (near Ovalo del Pacifico, Pizza street, or Francisco de Paula street, like Tanta, Scena or Plevisani trattoria) Larcomar in Miraflores, or walking in Puente de los suspiros in Barranco (with nostalgic grey sky around) or the Olivar or Huaca Huallamarca in San Isidro. And another thing, Lima is a little cold at night because enviromental humidity (but I think Michael turn it hot). And dont forget to taste peruvian typical food: ceviche, aji de gallina, papa a la huancaina, drink a pisco sour or algarrobina, and eat a lucuma or chirimoya ice cream!

Sorry, Michael, but "3 Penny Opera" is pretty bad... a much better musical revial is "Sweeney Tood". What is on stage at Studio 54 is a real mess!
