The Danger We Are All Facing
There is at present a debate in Germany and throughout Europe over whether to exclude Iran from the World Cup of Soccer, to be held this summer in Germany.
There should be no such debate. There is, rather, a moral imperative to exclude Iran from the games.
Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad minces no words; he is calling for the destruction of Israel. Even if it weren’t for that, people of good conscience should be calling for Iran to be excluded from the World Cup because of the Islamic Republic’s ongoing severe persecution of LGBT people.
What the Nazis did to Jews and LGBT people is no secret; for German Chancellor Angela Merkel to not call for Iran to be excluded from the World Cup held on her territory is a deeply shameful disgrace to her. The ghosts of the 6 million murdered are pointing their fingers at her accusingly, and we should be too.
As regards Ahmadinejad’s call for the destruction of Israel; Westerners inclined to support the so-called Palestinians should be asking themselves the role of that group of Arabs within the larger world Islamist community.
One major widespread falsehood being exploited by Ahmadinejad is the allegation that Jews only arrived in Israel after the Holocaust. But the verified historical record shows that Jews were in Israel several thousand years before any Arab person set foot on the territory. Indeed, Arabs invaded the area out of the Eastern Roman Empire in the 600s, and when they did so, they did not at all talk about being Palestinians. In truth, it is a matter of record that throughout the late 19th and early 20th centuries, the area that is now Israel, the West Bank and Gaza functioned as southern extensions of Syria and Jordan (with Jews present in the territory) and there was not a peep out of any Arab or other person about the necessity for a “Palestinian” country.
What is the Palestinian identity, anyway? Name three great Palestinian writers of the nineteenth century. Name three significant Palestinian artists of the nineteenth century. Name three important, or for that matter, unimportant Palestinian social leaders, scientists or soap salesman of the nineteenth century. What are their names? What did they do? Where did they do it? What made them Palestinian?
The Palestinian identity was manufactured by the Arabs in reaction to the move by Jewish people to re-establish the country their forefathers had founded in ancient times. When the modern country of Israel was founded, the non-Jews, including the Arabs living in its territory were invited to be part of Israeli democracy and in fact still take part in that democracy. By contrast, all Jews were expelled by force from Arab lands, though their families had been living in them for centuries and in many cases millennia.
Westerners inclined to support the so-called Palestinians should wake up right now to the truth about Islamist world goals. The Islamists mean to establish a world theocracy in which no departures from fundamentalist religious law are tolerated. Hamas, currently heading the so-called Palestinians, clearly expresses its desire to establish an Islamic state, and it does so with the full support of Iran, which shares with it the desire to establish an Islamic theocracy worldwide.
Wake up already people! As traumatic as the 9/11 attacks were for us, we must remember that they were planned to be yet more devastating. The Islamists’ intent on that day was to destroy the U.S. Capitol building and the White House. They were not aiming to do that because they thought it would be an expedient means for establishing a Palestinian state, after which time they would live in peace and harmony with all in the world. They were aiming to strike the U.S. Capitol and the White House because their goal is to establish an Islamic theocracy worldwide.
Because the stakes are so high, the West has a responsibility to itself to exclude Iran from the World Cup. It is folly to posit that sports have nothing to do with politics. Indeed, there are precedents for banning teams from the World Cup; for example, in 1992, the former Yugoslavia was kept out of the European Cup in Sweden, while in 1994 the ex Yugoslavia was barred from World Cup qualification matches by FIFA, the soccer organization that now says it does not get involved in politics. Soccer is very important to the Iranians. By excluding them from the World Cup, and by making it very clear to them why they are being excluded, pressure can be brought upon them to agitate for a more reasonable position from their government.

Amanda and her Art.
Hey guys, after writing this blog, I just wanted to tell you more about Amanda Lear's art. As I like to contribute to the greater gay consciousness of all things awesome, I figured I'd give you a little Amanda Lear 101.
Enjoy these little known facts about this bitchin icon!
Amanda Lear's passion for art started at the tender age of 16. She went to l’Académie des Beaux Arts in Paris to study painting, before joining the famous St Martins School of Art in London in 1964. After this, Amanda patiently worked along with Salvador Dali and studied in his workshop. Dali showed her his technique and guided her through the great museums of the world with his own personal view of the achievements of the old masters. Throughout her modeling, singing and acting career, Amanda Lear continued to draw and paint and as of 1981 started to show her work on a regular basis.

All of these paintings are surprisingly affordable and can be purchased at Envoy Gallery (535 W 22nd St 6th floor) from April 12- June 3.

A weekend with Amanda Lear, and a little Cumming ...
Amanda Lear had an event for her gallery opening "Never Mind the Bollocks" at the Envoy Gallery (535 West 22nd St). She is absolutely incredible. The amount of energy she radiates is more stunning than almost anyone in the room. And if you don't know who she is, you are not doing a very good job at being a gay man! I've loved her ever since I was a kid in Russia for so many reasons. She's known as a singer and disco queen, and also for her controversy surrounding being transexual. I bought one of Amanda's drawings and later we had a great time at dinner where Amanda talked about everything from her affair with David Bowie to her friendship with Dalida and Alain Delon, some of my favorite people. She was such a sweetheart and even invited me to her place in the South of France. Needless to say, I had a great time.

Amanda Lear with my friend, Calvin Klein designer, Italo Zucchelli, (on the left) and her manager and gallery owner, Jimi Dams (on the right).

Italo, Amanda, and Italo's boyfriend, Quin.

You can find out more about Amanda's gallery showing here:

Never Mind The Bollocks: Here’s Amanda Lear serves as the vehicle for an exhibition which consists of paintings by Amanda Lear and the work of nine contemporary artists."
And finally, a snapshot with Cindy Lauper and Alan at his Sunday Party. He always knows how to have a great time.

Why I took down the previous posting
I never take down my blogs because my beliefs are strong and if I want to say something, the last thing on my mind is whether I will hurt someone's feelings or not. If you don't like my position on Israel, for example, move on to another blog. The reason I took this entry down was because while I am not willing to compromise my viewpoints, my view has nothing to do with using the word "retarded". It was used casually, without any meaning. But I can see now that this word has a strongly negative meaning to the challenged and disabled, and to those who are close to them. My main point is that there were people that I hurt who were important to me, and rather than being misunderstood, I want to respect these feelings because I recognize the tragedy and I will try to get the word out of my lexicon.

Pork Roast in Heaven, or Bacon in Hell?
There’s a reason we never hear about gays perpetrating terrorist attacks.
While Muslims believe that on the other side of martyrdom, 72 virgins await them in heaven, gay people think that when a homo passes through the pearly gates, he is greeted by 72 oinking sex pigs.
Because it is so easy to find 72 sex pigs on earth, gays have no motivation to martyr themselves. A Muslim terrorist, however, can’t even find one virgin on the planet and if he can, she won’t do it with him. Meanwhile, the women who died and went to heaven without getting laid on earth are so desperate for dick that they’ll even allow themselves to get fucked by a terrorist who is fresh from killing scores of school children in a suicide bombing.
This brings me to George W. Bush.
Even if you don’t admire him for his anti-gay rights stance, you have to admit he is a genius when it comes to the security of the United States.
Upon taking office in 2001, Bush cancelled an FBI investigation of Saudi Arabia. His critics would have us believe he did that because his father, working with The Carlyle Group, was hugely invested in Saudi businesses. An intelligent person, however, can see that canceling an FBI investigation of Saudi Arabia months before the 9/11 attack was, without exception, the best imaginable move for the security of the United States.
George W. Bush, furthermore, has been most wise to not capture Osama bin-Laden. One has to recognize the importance of not punishing the top guys, who after all are only giving orders, not following them.
Alberto Gonzalez, for example, wrote a memo authorizing the use of torture at Abu Ghraib, and then was correctly promoted to Attorney General. Ridiculous liberals say that Gonzalez should be held accountable for the torture at Abu Ghraib, but normal citizens are content with seeing a few underlings court-martialed. What’s good about that, apart from the inherent moral rightness of torture, is that the images of Abu Ghraib torture victims let potential terrorists know that they better not mess with Bush’s United States or they will wind up naked with a fierce German Shepard barking a few centimeters away from their genitals. The best part is that under Bush, the naked prisoner getting barked at doesn’t even have to be accused of anything, much less be guilty of it.
If the decision to invade Iraq wasn’t sheer brilliance, what is? The country was only a threat to us insofar as big American companies didn’t have enough control of its oil. Bush’s method of getting at the oil through a camouflage strategy involving non-existent weapons of mass destruction threw, and continues to throw everybody’s attention away from the oil. It permits Bush to praise democratic progress even as Sunnis are taking the fat from the Kurdish people they’ve killed so that Shiites might cook the Sunnis in it later.
The Dubai Ports World deal might not have been the crowning glory of all of Bush’s accomplishments yet in it we see more of his splendid capacity for foresight. It’s probably true that nobody has studied U.S. ports like Al Qaeda has.
I also must laud the Commander in Chief for keeping silent about the ayatollah Sistani’s anti-gay fatwa, which has led to public lynchings of gays in the streets of Baghdad. As we all know from the model set by the United States, democracy has nothing to do with giving gay people their rights.
Now, most of my readers are extremely intelligent. For those very few who may not be, I’m making something clear as pre-cum; my above commentary is sarcasm, it is a joke, I am claiming to support Bush whereas in reality I condemn him in the most absolute terms.

I've been Carmenized!

I rarely take modeling jobs because I don't have much time, but I couldn't resist when I was invited to model for Asian Vogue and Dansk magazine. Because I got to pose with the legendary model, Carmen Dell'Orifice. First, I posed with her as a ballet dancer, a la Nureyev. For the second part of the shoot, I wore a black tuxedo. She was wearing about 10 different outfits, from Alessandro Dell'Acqua to Valentino. Carmen is such an amazing woman. I was so proud to work with her. She is over 70 years old and there's really no other model like her.
Ms. Dell'Orifice has been with Ford models for over 50 years. I met her for the first time at Naomi Campbell's Hurricane Katrina benefit. She was strutting her stuff on the runway along with Beyonce and a bunch of 18 year-old skinny girls. Carmen had kind words for everyone including me. When she saw me, she said, "You look like Nureyev ... but he would absolutely hate you in real life. Your skin and your bone structure would make him so jealous!" She was so nice that she even drove me home, chatting the whole time while we were in the car. I was just amazed that a woman of her age not only looks so good but also has so much energy! I asked her what her beauty secret was. She said "No sun, lots of sleep, and lots of exercise". That's pretty much what I do, accept for the sleep. I hope to make time that some day too ...

Ciao Bella!
Auditions 1 (ON SALE RIGHT NOW! click here) is full of surprises. Just check out Federico Ferro. Federico is an Italian fashion model who is very much into Yoga. So much so that he can actually fist himself up to his entire elbow!!! He was never fisted by anyone else but myself. You will see that he came several times, I don't think you will see anything like this ever again. It's really worth checking out. And he doesn't have this ugly exhausted hole like you might imagine for a guy who does all these extreme things. It looks tiny and tight- just perfect. It's unbelievable what yoga can do!

You can see his fisting clip exclusively in the member's only video section, which you can access via this page (click here).

One Republican, One Transexual, Pornstars, and GLAAD
I recently read this in Michael Musto's La Dolce Musto (thank you Mr. Musto for writing about it).
Before she went for those latest injections, Amanda Lepore may have gotten some needling of a different sort. An insider source says that when DAVID LACHAPELLE couldn't make it to the GLAAD awards to pick up a special honor, his first request was to have his muse Lepore accept on his behalf. His people were supposedly told by GLAAD that Logo (or it's parent company, VH1), which was filming the ceremony, didn't want her. When Heatherette's RICHIE RICH and TRAVER RAINS became the acceptors, they—says the source—asked to bring Amanda along onstage and were also told not to!Transophobia? It would seem weird for the network that's featured Lepore in a news report and aired the series Transgeneration (plus CANDIS CAYNE was the award show's trophy girl.) I asked a GLAAD rep about all this, and he responded that after LaChapelle had to cancel, "we were told that PETRA NEMCOVA would be introducing the award and that Richie and Traver were going to accept on his behalf. Amanda walked the red carpet, was seated at the event; and was recognized from the stage as part of the acceptance from David [read by Rich and Rains]." She certainly was. I just hope she—and her vagina—weren't forced into silence mode.
This is so not a surprise.
GLAAD is the most hypocritical organization. They are supposed to represent us properly in the media, but they always fail, even at their awards show.
This is the most sterile group, absolutely not interested in highlighting our community, diverse as it is. They want to run around and lie to the world that the gay community is made up of middle-class, clean cut professionals with a bunch of lipstick lesbians thrown in. And of course, it's good when they are already accepted mainstream celebrities, even better, if they own some children purchased from ebay.
Neither Colton Ford nor myself nor Amanda Lepore are allowed on their high stage, because we are considered freaks to this organization. Sure, they will take our money at any time, as they did in the past. But I just refuse to attend because what the gay community is and what they are trying to portray is like night and day.
I embrace the reality of the gay community, not the conservative portrait of the ideal American gay that they have invented for the media. By the way, did I mention that the president of GLAAD is a Republican? Isn't that ridiculous! The whole to-do reminds me of the Stepford Wives when they were trying to deprogram the gay man.
I don't think that straight people are buying what they are selling, and I don't think straight people need this made-up idea of what a gay man is. The world should strive to embrace us as diverse as we are. Always remember that those who do not blend in or look like others are the most attacked and in the most need of defense. The Wall-street guys in their designer suits at the GLAAD shows are not the ones in the greatest danger.
See the earlier blogpost "Hi Mister Lucas, we are ashamed of you. Now can ya give us some money?"

TAKING A STAND, FOR YOURSELVES
I recently read about a physical attack on a drag queen in L.A., and it’s gotten me to thinking about how gay people respond to attacks outside of their homes. The drag queen was Jackie Beat. She fought back and won, so I’d like to say “You go girl!!!!!!”
But beyond the attack on Jackie lie countless verbal and physical attacks on LGBT people, attacks lacking any form of provocation except for the extreme hatred wormed inside of the attackers.
The main question is, should LGBT people ignore attacks, or should they vigorously fight against them?
I’ve heard people say that it’s wrong to lower oneself to the level of the insulters, that one shouldn’t respond to them at all. But I condemn that approach. I believe that the homophobes who today ejaculate verbal insults against LGBT people are the ones who have the potential to physically attack tomorrow. If you give them the idea that it’s OK for them to insult you to your face for the mere fact of your being gay, you are psychologically empowering them to physically attack either you or another LGBT person at a later time.
Not only does ignoring anti-gay verbal attacks encourage physical attackers, it encourages homophobes to think they can continue not granting us full legal equality in society. Don’t forget that a gay-rights fence sitter like Mrs. Clinton was raised in a virulently anti-gay culture and that all signs are that she has not purged that hatred from herself. She grew up hearing anti-gay epithets constantly spewed and her behavior as a lawmaker demonstrates that she absorbed anti-gay hatred and at some level still nurses it. If that weren’t true, New York would likely already have joined Massachusetts in offering gay people the rights, responsibilities, and legal benefits of marriage.
The whole idea that you shouldn’t respond to attackers because they operate on a lower level is preposterous and idiotic. Islamic terrorists are manifestly behaving in an uncivil and therefore low manner but we don’t ignore their attacks, because we can’t afford to ignore them. The same holds true for GLBT people when they are under attack. I mean, should Matthew Shepherd’s attackers be set free? If you take the “don’t stoop to their level” argument to its logical conclusion, you would free Matt’s killers out of concern for not “stooping to the level” of taking away their freedom as they took away his. And it was, after all, the whole social mechanism that encourages and/or ignores insults against gays that made possible the murder of Matthew Shepherd. Never forget that “protestors” came to his funeral with signs saying that he would go to hell.
I don’t just talk the talk, either, I walk the walk. Without giving you all the gruesome details, on more than one occasion, right here in the gay heart of Chelsea, I have heard homophobes shouting anti-gay insults at passers-by. On those occasions, I’ve confronted the bastards, and believe me, they’ll think twice before they ever again insult gay people.
You have to understand that the stereotype of gay people is that they are weak and cowardly. If you don’t confront verbal attackers and let them know you won’t stand for their shit, you reinforce the stereotype, thus emboldening homophobic assholes to attack more gays in the future.

Michael's Mailbox: Cum Eating and HIV
In response to this comment:
Hi Michael, You say to be a strong forefighter of safe sex in your videos by having the models use condoms while fucking. But do you realize eating eachother´s cum is also one of the biggest risks to contract HIV?!! F.e. in "Dorm Room Educations" the top licks the sperm of the face of the bottom and then kisses him directly. Also the bottom sucks the top´s cock right after coming. In the audition with Wilfried, Ross and Milan, we see Ross clearly eating Wilfried´s sperm and sucking his cock after he came. These are just 2 examples. Am I misinformed or what´s the deal here? Why do you choose to have models protect themselves during fucking and on the other hand putting themselves at (great) risk by eating someonelse´s cum? Greetz, Jake
Dear Jake,
Let me be very clear: Whenever two adults engage in sex, there is always a risk involved. It's not just about contracting HIV. It is about contracting many other sexually transmitted diseases which are much easier to get. One should always decide where to draw the line. Some say that technically you can get HIV just by kissing ... Let's imagine that both partners just flossed before or have some kind of mouth wounds. Should I just put a condom all over their face and body? How sterile should sex be?
I made up my mind long ago that all my models have to wear condoms when they are fucking. All the rest is totally up to them. Many studios produce bareback movies and movies with condoms "optional". Sometimes they include a little explanation- like "these are two boyfriends" or "these guys were just checked for STDs and are negative." I don't care about this. My message is very clear: Use a condom when you penetrate. I never heard any real evidence that someone got HIV orally, but I understand that in theory, this is a possibility. The fact is that HIV transfers during anal sex. This is proven. So if there is anal penetration I require a condom. As far as everything else, it is really up to the models.
Many of my partners in life and in films were HIV positive. I have had more sex than most people. I never transferred HIV, and I always used a condom during intercourse. Now it is totally your choice because I am not the authority. Please use common sense, good judgement, and your beliefs in your sexual life. You draw your own lines in life. I know where mine is. It's important to know yours.
But let me admit, while writing this, I feel like it is a very difficult issue and I cannot offer a strong opinion, which I am usually known for.
Sincerely,
Michael
