Lucas Encounters, The Heat of the Moment
Dear readers,
I know you all remember the intense promotion surrounding Dangerous Liaisons. Maybe I was pushy, maybe even annoying. But judging by everyone's feedback, I do believe that the movie lived up to all the hype. I don't believe that I ever promoted a movie as hard as this because I did not want to lose my credibility. I am an honest man, and I want to live up to all my promises.
This gives me the balls to say that the first movie of my new line, Encounters, The Heat of the Moment, deserves as much of your attention as Dangerous Liaisons. I believe that we at Lucas Entertainment learned a lot from making this ambitious project. Encounters demonstrates another step forward in our company's product. In my belief, this film has the best art direction, cinematography, and the best acting- yes I said acting, in adult gay history. And let me tell you, I am not blowing smoke up my own ass, because this movie doesn't have much to do with me. Encounters is mainly an effort from the incredible, multi-talented Tony DiMarco, who came up with the concept of the film, and is responsible for the writing and art direction as well as directing 3 scenes out of the 4. The legendary RuPaul also joined Lucas Entertainment as a guest director to create a remarkable last scene. All of the actors in Encounters, from Wilson Vasquez to newcomer Danny Bitho gave real emotional performances.
So please watch this movie. It gets more exciting from scene to scene. Take my word, you will not regret the time you have taken from your day to enjoy the first installment of Encounters, The Heat of the Moment.
The Lucas Encounters series, based on real New York City life, will become a new high end Lucas Entertainment line, and we are planning to produce about 4 Encounters per year. The direction we take here marks the new standard for future Lucas Entertainment productions.
Best regards,
Michael Lucas

I am looking forward to "Encounters, Heat of the Moment" with great anticipation. Michael's productions just keep getting better and better, hotter and hotter. The other day I was discussing FIC7 with a friend, and we both agreed it was the hottest gay porn we had ever seen, and with a great story line to boot! Keep up the great work Michael. The rest of the gay producers/studios don't even come close to your talents and skills.

I have yet to be disappointed with any of your "product." Furthermore, judging by my, ahem, reaction just to those 4 pictures and since I am one of those guys who likes my porn with a little story set-up, I expect this to be a home run.

I am a big fan of Michael Lucas and all that he does. I look forward to each DVD release and purchase them as soon as they are available. I must say however that I am not a fan of RuPaul. While I can't wait to receive the new Encounters DVD, knowing that RuPaul is part of the production just takes the shine off of it for me. One of the best things about Lucas Entertainment is the masculine heat and raw sexuality that is captured in his DVD's and I don't have to deal with Chi Chi LaRue. I have never understood the whole drag queen bit and did not think I would have to face it here. So I guess I can handle the RuPaul stuff but just not the fanfare about it. LOL, I'll get over it but, I just wanted to pass that along.

Hi Steve, I wanted to address your comment. RuPaul's role in this movie is behind the scenes, and as you will see in the Bonus Footage, Ru actually does not do this job in drag. Rather, Ru shows off his experience in mainstream media and as a performance artist, by creating a very real, very sexy scene- as a director and since he came up with the concept. Of course, Michael is the producer and this will have the Lucas feel you're looking for!
So whether or not you are a fan of drag queens, RuPaul's creative contribution here is one I think you will appreciate.

I am not a drag queen.
But I would sure like to be able to give that virulently anti-RuPaul Steve a bitch slap for trash-talking Ru this way.
If Steve were in-the-know, he would have realized that RuPaul Charles is a diverse and wonderful human being, musician, porn director and all the rest of it, as well as being a genderfuck artiste.
If Ru were German and responding to Steve's attack, he might quote from Goethe's "Faust": "Du gleichst dem Geist, den Du begreifst, Nicht mir!" Very loosely translated, that means "I'm gonna wear a strap-on and fuck you silly."

I didn't watch the Golden Globes and frankly I don't care what they avoided saying. I know what the film depicted and it brought tears to my eyes at times as I watched it. It was a sad but heartwrenching love story about two men who struggled with their sexuality and suffered the consequences. I am sure many guys can relate to this situation.

Dear Michael,
I think I fell in lust with you when I saw (Im pretty sure it was) Fire Island Crusing(?), and I bought "Dangerous Liasons" for two reasons, The HOT NAKED MEN, and a chance to see RuPaul's cameo appearance. To learn that the Diva of all Diva's, Mr. Ru himself directed one of the scenes in your new production, basically means I've already bought my copy. Your the tops (literally)! Thanks, and keep on keepin on!!
