Dangerous Liaisons is the Most Nominated Movie at this Year's GAYVN Awards!
Dear Readers:
I am happy to report that Michael Lucas' Dangerous Liaisons, with 13 nominations, is the single most nominated movie at the GAYVN Awards this year. My other movies, Manhattan Heat and Auditions 4, were also nominated.
I sincerely want to thank each and every GAYVN judge for remembering us, especially because these movies came out in the early part of last year. As we all know, mainstream and adult movies alike time their releases right before awards ceremonies. We didn't follow this strategy, so I am grateful to know that Lucas Entertainment wasn't forgotten.
I am also very pleased with the amount of nominations we received, especially in light of the fact that we put out less titles in the year 2005 than other studios. In 2006, we plan a more packed release schedule, but aside from our Pro/Amateur Auditions movies, we only released 3 films last year. I feel great knowing that the reviewers appreciated our efforts this past year.
All of us at Lucas Entertainment are enthusiastic about this, and the nominations are incredibly encouraging. We hope to raise the bar even higher in 2006! (So get ready for Michael Lucas' La Dolce Vita ...)

I also had a great time last night celebrating Alan Cumming's Birthday.

Here I am with the Birthday boy and Queer Eye's Thom Filicia

Lately Alan appeared on "the L word", and is the future star of Roundabout Theatre Company’s revival of The Threepenny Opera.
He's also directing and starring in the new movie, Suffering Man's Charity, as well as many others. I am really looking forward to seeing Alan take the stage at the Roundabout theatre soon. After winning a Tony on the stage for Cabaret, I am sure he'll put on a fantastic show.
Nothing but good vibes on the Lucas Blog today ;)
Love,
Michael

Michael, I just received Encounters, and am enjoying it as I am the 30 plus others of yours I have. I think the first scene is by far the best. I think the scene with Blue is much too dark. A bit more light would have made that marvelous encounter much more enjoyable. Don
