Perhaps We Should Try Butter?
This morning I watched our President give another awful speech. Of course, all of those banal thoughts that start flooding my mind about how ridiculous it is for Bush to be defending the war. And I am still just as pissed off today as before his "inspiring" presidential address. Bush is just so out of touch with reality. The fact that neither this administration nor the democrats see the real threat to America and the world's security just horrifies me. There are countries out there like Iran who work hard every day developing nuclear weapons. I don't doubt it at all. Iran probably would have been a better choice to attack. Of course not by sending troupes and trying to fulfill the impossible dream of bringing democracy to the Middle East, which is a delusional idea. No, I do not believe in sending in troupes to their death, humiliating and discrediting America.
What we had to do, and maybe still do, is send missiles on Iranian targets rather than sending American people. If we do not do that, I think it is probably not long till one of their weapons land in my home of Manhattan, making September 11 look like nothing in comparison. I am sure another bomb will make its way to Israel around the same time. And there is a much bigger problem at the base of all of it. America is a slave to the middle east's oil, and we are always looking for a friend in the gulf. One day it's Afghanistan, the next it's Iraq. Now it's Saudi Arabia. How much money have we spent over the past 20 years supporting their wars- buying peace with them as they fight each other? How many billions did it cost?
America put a man on the moon over 30 years ago, and after all this money has been squandered, we still haven't found a substitute for our oil demands? Every time you put gas in your car, you are sponsoring your own death and destruction. But of course many of you don't have a choice but to make these assholes rich. Just because they are sitting on oil does not mean they should be driving Jaguars, instead they should be driving a mule. There should be a whole institution working day and night researching a complete alternative to using oil. We need an oil subsitute! This is the only good solution for peace and stability, otherwise we all face imminent destruction and that charming feeling that we could be wiped out at any moment in time.
Anyhow I refuse to leave you on this note. Here is a picture of something happy.

Thank you for the "happy" picture. It did more than just put a smile on my face (I won't go into details)! I've ordered my copy of Auditions 6, and can't wait to see Kent and Kevin using that double ended dildo. Thank you Michael, for continuing to produce the hottest porn available today. The other studios don't even come close.

Hello Michael:
Yes, Bush's Middle East policy is a big farsi.
Their are existant technologies . . . for example, bio-diesel fuel used in hybrid vehicles . . . that could completely free us from dependence on fossil fuels.
Beginning to convert to bio-diesel now with the goal of converting to it completely within ten years makes sense because 1) the fossil fuel supply will run out within twenty years; 2) bio-diesel is far cleaner; 3) by selling bio-diesel technology and vehicles to developing countries we could bolster our economy, be better custodians of the environment, and free ourselves of dependence on the Arab countries (no more ridiculous looking-the-other-way at Islamic extremism in Saudi Arabia, for one example of a related benefit).
Why is that conversion to bio-diesel not happening?
Because the Bush family, the Cheney family, and many of their friends are greedy, greedy, greedy. They have the cash cow of the oil industry in their barn, and they do what's economically best for them right now, not what's best for the country over all and the world over all.
Every time somebody takes up one of Bush's points about democracy, terrorism, et cetera, for debate, they are falling into his trap. This is all about the oil. Unpublicized to the American public and the world are the Production Sharing Agreements that got deviously snuck into the balloting in this past Iraqi election, under disguised names, and largely unexplained. Those agreements allow American and British oil companies to reap the majority of the profits from Iraqi oil wells.
Meanwhile, our military has been stretched to the breaking point in a country which was not threatening us, and could not effectively respond to an actual military threat against us at this time. Hell, the National Guard couldn't even effectively respond to a hurricane, because its personnel and high water vehicles were in Iraq.
Maybe Bush and Cheney could be encouraged to try out with each other that double-headed dildo action so virtuousically illustrated by Kent Larson and Kevin Wood. It could keep them from fucking the country and world worse then they've already done. My one fear would be that as the two are both so chock full of shit, no amount of disinfectant could ever again render the double-headed dildo useable. Other than that, I support the Republican agenda. Sieg Heil, and let's put the Christ back in Christmas.

I'm not sure that saying dependence on foreign oil is problematic isn't an oversimplification.
Historically, the US has had a rotten attidude towards the rest of the world in terms of foreign policy, and the whole Al Quaeda/terrorist thing is one part of the world pushing back.
Think about it: historically, the US has fomented a great many military coups with the specific intent of destabilizing nations that didn't want to play nice to US businesses. The American people have chosen not to notice, simply choosing to believe that whatever the government tells them is infallibly right, not realizing that all the weight-throwing is not necessarily in their best interests.
Harold Pinter put it pretty well in his Nobel acceptance speech; you can check out what he had to say here: http://www.thenation.com/doc/20051226/pinter.

Hey Micheal
I found your comment a bit full blown and infact rather ignorant. Especially your views over the Middle Eastern situation. You know as well as the rest of the world that the American "occupation" both in Iraq and Afghanistan are decoys towards robbing the natural resources of the Middle East. The Gulf has the right to secure and save these resources for the future, but when one stands up against the worlds most powerfull country, your presidents answers are usually " lets nuke 'em!" The heads of these states are placed by the US themselves, remember that both Saddam and Osama where given power through the american government. Regarding Irans nucleur research, they have a right like other countries to use nucleur power to generate electricity and claims towards weapons of mass destruction should not be placed until proven, rewind to Iraq 12 months earlier when the same claims where made and no weapons found. Re. Israel, they have produced nucleur weapons and are the worlds third largest producers, so if there is any threat to the middle east its from Israel and not the otherway round. The Middle East has colapsed and has become in a state of disrepair in a cause of constant occupation from the west from portugal in the 19th century to france and the Uk in the 20th and now , i guess the US would like to have a go. These countries were the most educated and cultured nations in the world, when arriving in Spain in the 14th century, the arabs and moors did not occupy nor fight againts the europeans but instead lived with them and through their work and knowledge influenced the people, a phrase rather well known in Spain "La Con Vivencia" They're research in Maths and Medicine and the creation of Algebra and even the number 0, without it where would you be? America would definately not have reached the moon. Just something for you to ponder......apart from that ...great work on the films..X

Just remember - if there are a few rich guys running things over there with their Jaguars, it is our nation's fault.
We are the ones who provided arms and training in their use to insurgents when most of the oil producing nations in the Middle East were about to socialize. Because of our rabid fear of communism and an ignorance of the difference between the two, we made sure that we put people in power who would be willing to deal with the U.S. and continue to provide us cheap oil.
Go, us.
