BROKEBACK MOUNTIN’
(WARNING- this entry contains spoilers about the movie!)
Jake Gyllenhaal dropped out of college after two years, and it’s showing.
Take a look at some of his recent interview comments about his role in “Brokeback Mountain.”
“We have this idea of what love is, and everyone says, "Love has no bounds." And we all subscribe to that idea. And you can read it in cards, you know, like, it's become such a cliché that we don't really believe that, because when it comes really down to "love has no bounds", we don't buy it. We all stay within a form, I'm speaking for myself. I stay within a form of, like, is that OK to do or is that OK to do?
And this movie was like, it has no bounds. Like, these aren't, in my belief, these aren't two, like gay guys. These are two people who fall in love. And, you know, from the environment that they're in, which is incredibly lonely, and, you know, they find each other.”
I want to cry for literacy when I hear a man with two years of college under his belt speaking in that moronic a manner. This one little excerpt contains so many “like”s and “you know”s that if you weren’t told the interviewee was Jake Gyllenhaal, you could easily guess it to be a valley girl.
Apart from questions of verbal inelegance, the meat of Jake’s message is rancid. You could wonder what he means when he says in regards to his love life that he stays “within a form.” He has been friends with Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine since childhood; is their relationship repressed and hidden by the same nature of homophobic societal pressures affecting Ennis and Jack in “Brokeback Mountain”?
Jake Gyllenhaal’s nursing a belief that Ennis and Jack are not gay leads me to pose a question: Has this dunce read the superb Annie Proulx story on which the movie is based?
Jack and Ennis begin their romantic involvement during a summer job. They are profoundly pained by having to separate at the end of the summer, but more or less resigned to complying with society’s anti-gay strictures. After four years, Jack, having married a wealthy woman for economic reasons only, comes to visit Ennis, also married to a woman. When they first see each other outside Ennis’s home, the force of their pent-up emotional and physical longings drives them into a passionate, lustful embrace witnessed by Ennis’s wife. Here is how Annie Proulx depicts the scene immediately after the embrace.
“What could he say? ‘Alma, this is Jack Twist, Jack, my wife Alma.’ His chest was heaving. He could smell Jack – the intensely familiar odor of cigarettes, musky sweat and a faint sweetness like grass, and with it the rushing cold of the mountain. ‘Alma,’ he said, ‘Jack and me ain’t seen each other in four years.’ As if it were a reason. He was glad the light was dim on the landing but did not turn away from her.”
Note the phrase “As if it were a reason.” You’d think that even the worst of all idiots would understand that Proulx as narrator is there commenting on Ennis’s clumsy attempt to explain away his spontaneous and feeling-filled homosexual embrace of Jack. What that “As if it were a reason” means is that although Ennis tries to verbally disguise the gay nature of the embrace, he is fooling nobody; both he and Jack are gay, gay, gay.
Then there is the matter of Ennis rejecting Jack’s proposal that they live together on a ranch. Ennis says:
“Whoa, whoa, whoa. It ain’t gonna be that way. We can’t. I’m stuck with what I got, caught in my own loop. Can’t get out of t. Jack, I don’t want to be like them guys you see around sometimes. And I don’t want a be dead. There was these two old guys ranched together down home, Earl and Rich – Dad would pass a remark when he seen them. They was a joke even though they was pretty tough old birds. I was what, nine years old and they found Earl dead in a irrigation ditch. They’d took a tire iron to him, spurred him up, drug him around by his dick until it pulled off, just bloody pulp. What the tire iron done looked like pieces a burned tomatoes all over him, nose tore down from skiddin’ on gravel.”
“I don’t want to be like them guys you see around sometimes” is Ennis showing that his internalized homophobia is part of what keeps him from finding lasting and complete fulfillment with Jack.
If that wasn’t enough to make Jake Gyllenhaal comprehend that these two men are as gay as Dolce and Gabbana, then he might have considered the ending of the story. The character he plays, Jack, having entered into a homosexual relationship with a man not Ennis, is bludgeoned to death in a gay bashing incident not unlike that which left Earl dead.
Why is it that despite all the unequivocal evidence in Annie Proulx’s “Brokeback Mountain,” Jake Gyllenhaal opines that the story’s lead characters are not gay? I’m sure the true answer could be discovered in a long series of psychotherapy sessions. But the stupidity of the opinion leaves me no choice but to rename this actor: Fake Jellyhole. We will never hear Tom Cruise say that he thinks the character he portrayed in “Risky Business” was not heterosexual, and we shouldn’t have to hear this stuff and nonsense out of Fake Jellyhole either.
I ain't sayin He a cocksucka, but he ain't messin wit no straight ni . . . you know.

Not My Cup Of Convict
What is all the excitement about Mark Dalton coming out of jail? Or as they say porn star Mark Dalton. Here is this guy who never in his life had any man on man action in a film, but somehow is worshiped by all these self-hating old fags from Missouri or wherever, for his steroided hairless body and dumb potato face. He was put in jail for beating his girlfriend, isn't that hot? And now every columnist, including myself, has nothing better to do than write about it. Isn't it freaky that we have nothing better to do with our time than to write about this waste of ass. Guys who actually do sweat on the sheets in ecstacy with tons of movies out- I think they deserve more attention than a straight cockteaser steroid freak violent women-hating bitch. I'm just saying ...

Our Newest Encounters Scene
Today was quite a day. RuPaul joined Lucas Entertainment as a guest director for a very exciting scene in Encounters. We are so happy with how everything turned out. The whole scene was very natural and sensual. Ru focused a lot on the dialogue of the scene, guiding the guys through some improv, since only the concept was written beforehand.
The scenario for our Encounters scene was to have Bruce Beckham as a psychiatrist and Wilson Vasquez as his patient. Before filming, Bruce stopped by the office with his homemade cookie dough. Now you know I won't touch that stuff as I stick to my raw food diet, but I'll have some taste testers report back to you on their ooeyness and gooeyness asap. Wilson also brought some more of his drawings. It's got a modern comic book sensibility to it. I am really impressed.
Anyhow, back to Encounters. RuPaul asked Wilson to try and search within himself so that he can talk naturally. He asked him to think about things that bothered him so that he could find inspiration for the scene. Ru's directions worked so well. Bruce was also great with his questions. But Bruce plays professional well. The dialogue was actually pretty touching. It went so smoothly, we got it all in one shot. And then of course the scene gets exciting since Bruce is falling in love with his patient. And then naturally Wilson loves him right back in his great ass. This is how these things work, right?
Anyhow the sex was great, the day was great. All in all a pretty good day in the life of a porn star/director, whatever the heck I am these days ...

Michael's Mailbox: My City is Better Than Your City Edition
Dear Everybody,
Americans and Europeans, thank you for all your sweet comments on my Barcelona blog. I understand that some of you are upset with me for calling Barcelonans (or however you call them) lazy. First, let me tell my American friends- it is very different to go abroad as a tourist and to go abroad for work. It would be nice see the world from the a lovely little place like the Ritz Carlton, but that was not an option on this trip as I had to accommodate a lot of people on a budget. So I experienced Barcelona from a different perspective. I must tell you that in my experience, it was much easier to work in the United States, especially NYC, than in any European country- particularly Barcelona. Now let me say to my Barcelonan friends, guys, you are marvelous, handsome, and great, your city is simply stunning, and your food is delicious. But please forgive me, for I am a spoiled New Yorker. I am spoiled by New York's convenience, level of service, and people who are eager and hard working.
Yes it's true, I travel a lot. But mostly for pleasure. When traveling for pleasure, I am able to travel leisurely. That didn't happen this time in Barcelona. So forgive me for being a little bit grumpy, but it was a tough working experience. When I had two free days, I had a blast exploring Gaudi and the old part of town. It was all marvelous and I look forward to returning another time soon for a nice vacation.
But in case you really disagree with me, you'll have to have it out with Madonna, who would apparently feel like a dork in Barcelona. And we wouldn't want to feel like a dork, now would we?

I discovered him in his first ever film FIC 1, now he is back, very happy to finish up the series working with him. Chad Hunt is one of my absolute all time favorite people to work with. When I started in 1998, I was stupid not to sign him as an exclusive- actually I couldn’t afford him back then. I signed Chad many years later when he came out of his retirement, and now he works exclusively for Lucas Entertainment. I would never sign any other model as an exclusive who worked for so many other prods. But there is a secret to why Chad Hunt can do porn for as long as he wants to. Condoms, Please.
So I finally got some leisure time and a chance to know more about beautiful Barcelona. Well, my god, the people of Barcelona are so fucked up! They open their shops and businesses at noon, then from 2-5pm nothing is open and it's Siesta time. They are all napping and I refuse to believe that Spaniards have special sleep needs. It's crazy. And when they do open some time after 5, they close again at 8, then eat a long dinner at 10, and party all through the night! At 2am the streets are filled with people. Partying is great, but at the expense of your economy. Work!
And my god, when they are open, they are slow as hell. Everyone walks, talks, and moves slowly. If you want to get a sandwich forget it. You've got to wait around for hours. And on top of that the people working in stores and restaurants are so rude- they have no sense of service. But there is a surprising fresh breath of air that's popping up on every corner in Barcelona- Starbucks! That's right- in America you'd like to escape them- but in Barcelona they are an oasis of friendly smiles and quick service. They do so well, I am amazed that local businesses haven't learned a thing or two from them. Barcelona people are so lazy- no wonder they haven't finished building La Sagrada Familia! When we were filming there was some construction next door, and a concern was raised as to the sound interfering with filming. I said like hell they'll actually be working! And sure enough, it wasn't a problem. And I am someone who has been to many countries and was born abroad, so don't give me any crap about American arrogance!
Ah yes, it is beautiful here and there are lovely people even though they are lazy, but they are also really silly. Among the grumpy faces are some very absurd attitudes. I love the film director, Almodovar, but the Spanish people think he's crazy. They think he's crazy because he captures the truth about them! I found myself in all sorts of strange Almodovar situations. One that stands out was when I went to the Pharmacy to buy condoms. I asked for condoms using my translation for "condoms please", and the whole store went quiet and nearby an old lady gasped. But suddenly they all opened up. Everyone was getting into the conversation. They started telling me which condoms the ladies prefer. Everyone was sharing all kinds of private things. One woman was telling me, "My sister uses this one a lot, and take it from my sister, she knows." Those who were looking down at first all of the sudden grew very curious about everyone's business.
Speaking of attitudes towards sex in Barcelona, many people live with their families for a while before moving out on their own. People don't have many private places to have sex. We stayed near the opera and there were so many 70 year old prostitutes everywhere. I never saw anything like it in my life! All these ladies only cost something like 5 dollars. And they just do it in the street. We were walking home one night and saw a woman taking her pants down and then a man just fucked her from behind, exclaiming how he loves this country.
Back to business. We did this second audition with these two Brazilians who were just waiting there very patiently to get fucked. Well when I jumped in and fucked the both of them they were such happy guys. They seemed just like kids on Christmas morning, but this Christmas didn't come early ;)
And today's scene from Encounters got hot hot hot! Milan really got everything from Michael Lucas, including his whole fist! Not that I like to talk in first person but it just sounds more giving that way.
Oh and I saw Dangerous Liaisons in a store here for 65 euros! Someone is really getting ripped off. That's like 85 dollars. Europeans- let me remind you to buy from our online store instead! Of course I didn't mind the sticker on the front calling it the best movie of 2005 . . .

Macs are Gay
Yes it's true. Apple's long-standing gay conspiracy has been revealed. For years they have been hinting at it with their rainbow logo loud and proud, later by coming out with iMacs in rainbow colors. And now, Apple has created the iPod Video KNOWING full well that Lucas Entertainment would put gay porn on it. Finally, Apple computers and Macs have come out of the closet once and for all. And if that's not all, I'll say it twice in case you haven't read it in today's Washington Post article on the front of the Business section, how lovely : Gays are technologically advanced. Yes. Just like Space Ships and Electric Toothbrushes, gay people come with all kind of advanced options. Did you know that gay people come with wifi and bluetooth technology? Well they do. Apologies to the gay community for revealing our secrets.

Good Times In Barcelona, and FIC 7's Brandon
These are Chimneys on the rooftop of Gaudi's La Pedrera. There's something I like about them, I just can't put my finger on it . . .
So, really quickly, we're shooting Barcelona Auditions and we've got some great stuff. We filmed 2 3-way auditions scenes, and 2 one on one. Two scenes have Milan- who we just adore. And the weather is finally nice here so we are actually going to have a chance to really enjoy the city. I'm looking forward to exploring Park Guell and La Sagrada Familia. There's so much to see, and it's going to be a lot nicer with the clouds moving away.

Newcomer Brandon Aguilar is not your typical porn model, or shall we say, he is not like all the other boys. Instead of spending his free time frolicking in the sun or chasing boys, Brandon would find a cozy spot and curl up with Anna Karenina or the morning edition of The Times. I was quite impressed. The Latest from Barcelona: Porn is Drama
We moved into this big new apartment to film today and just as we started shooting, I got a call that we "had to leave". It was the owner of the building, suspicious of our activities. He threated to call the police, and he did. He came to the room, banging away on the door and yelling. Things elevated quickly and the whole this was just one big commotion and panic. But here's the really great part- we got it all on tape!
The whole ordeal is filmed, with all the panic and police coming. Did I forget to mention the police? Well, yes, they came. They asked if they could come in and of course I said no, but I did politely share a cup of tea with them. They asked me a few questions, "What are you doing in Barcelona" kind of deal. I merely said that I was travelling. The police apologized and we laughed together. Later the angry owner came upstairs offering us our money back to leave. Well you can't exactly just pick up a whole production with so many people on such short notice, and we weren't doing anything illegal.
But after the police left the owner called them again saying that we were doing all kinds of crazy things, and of course once again we politely told the police that they could not come in the bedroom, and they politely backed off. Either way if they came in, who gives a fuck, we have a contract signed that we can stay there and our money was paid. And we just wrapped shooting on Barcelona Nights as well- so! All's well that ends well.

Bruce has the most angelic face. He is such a gorgeous model. He and Wilfried Knight are probably the only other models besides me who don’t drink- and no they don’t do drugs either. He’s a really sweet guy. I met him many years ago as a bartender in the restaurant, ‘Foodbar’ in Chelsea. I was always trying to get him in my films, but he said that he was in a relationship, so my attempts failed. Later he moved with his boyfriend to LA, and soon after they got there, they broke up. Honestly, I wasn’t too sad about that. I flew him back to New York and we did our first movie together, Dangerous Liaisons. I am glad my dream to have him join Lucas Entertainment came true. He did a great scene in Fire Island Cruising 7, and now we are filming him in Barcelona with myself, Wilfried Knight, and a great team of Spanish models- including Lucas Foz who was my scene partner in an early film, ‘Inside Paris’.

Trade Secrets from the Set
You see, the Lucas Blog has so much to offer its readers, and I want to be sure that I can impart any bits of wisdom I can from my line of work to help you help yourself. In light of the fact that I am filming a new production, and having my guys in tip top shape is very important, I figured these tips might be useful to all of you.
How To Douche:
1. Take the douche and fill it with the warmest water that is comfortable for you. If it is a Fleet or any other store bought enema that is already filled with saline or another fluid, empty it and proceed filling it with warm water. It is very important that you do not use the saline and such as it will easily tear the anus which may cause bleeding.
2. Get on the floor with your chest touching the floor but your backside lifted up in the air so as to form a downward motion from the bottom to the head.
3. Insert the tip of the douche into the anus, using lube if necessary. Release the fluid from the douche into your anus. Hold this position for at least 5 minutes.
4. Using your anus muscles, contract the fluid back and forth inside. This is very important in order to make this process most effective.
5. When five minutes is up, release the fluid into the toilet.
6. Repeat the process until the fluid that you release into the toilet is almost completely clear.
It is a common myth conception that not eating anything on the day of the shoot will leave you in the clear. This is not the case. With that said, we all know our bodies and they are all very different. If you have methods that work for you, follow them without fail. If you have a problem being totally clean on a regular basis, it is important to solve it by listening to your body more. Pay specific attention to how it reacts to different types of food and how long it takes for the body to process them.
What To Eat:
Fruit (a natural eliminator for the body), this includes any smoothies but supplements such as creatine are not a good idea at all.
Coffee (rumored to be ok)
What Not To Eat:
Spicy Foods (hard to clear out in a timely fashion)
Too Many Carbs (they will slow down, possibly clog, your system)

Kent Larson
Kent has worked for many companies, but I worked with him 5 times in the last year. Now that’s usually not the case as I prefer my own discoveries and exclusives. But Kent is an exception. You can see why. I think he has got the best body in the industry. He used to be a dancer for many years. That’s probably where he got his amazing ass and legs. He is also crazy about the gym. I know he exercises daily. So he ends up with a body like a god, abs, legs and torso all well sculpted. Kent’s another natural performer, his dialogue scenes are great. I discovered this in ML’s Dangerous Liaisons, so we gave him a lot of speaking parts in Fire Island Crusing 7. The Rain in Spain
We shot 2 great scenes today. One scene was with Bruce Beckham and this hot, uncut, 20 year old Brazilian guy from Barcelona named Enrique. It was a beautiful scene shot in a Jacuzzi with candles- really hot stuff. They flip-flopped and had a great time.
The other scene was with two boyfriends, Matt Colmer and his boyfriend Leo of one year. They had such a great time together, also flip flopping and getting really lost in the moment. There was even a little watersports action as well.
On Monday we start filming for Encounters, and Barcelona Auditions soon after- with 6 new guys. I sure hope that cheers things up a bit as it has been raining non stop over here. I love the article, only hangup I have though is that quote that says "Gays are . . ." I know that sounds as stupid as me saying "Blacks are . . ." And while I think it's fairly harmelss, I would've preferred that they wrote "Gay people . . ." but if I am going to be making generalizations, I'm glad they got me on a nice one. Hello from Barcelona
Filming here is going great. We are shooting 5 scenes for Barcelona Nights, one special Barcelona scene for Encounters which stars me and a new guy, and a whole new Auditions movie while here!
One new find is a huge highlight of our time in Barcelona. My new exclusive model is named Milan. His dick is about 11 inches and he is absolutely gorgeous with sexy dark hair. He is so versitile. He does everything- including watersports and fisting! Milan is such a smart and great guy to work with so I am really happy to include him in Lucas Entertainment's productions. 1. How did you like working for FIC 7 & 8?
It was definitely a lot of fun. I met some cool new people, got a paid vacation, and most importantly, had a lot of really HOT sex!
2. Had you been to Fire Island before?
Was actually my first time to Fire Island; but I heard a lot about it. I have plans to go back next summer, but just for fun this time.
3. Was the shoot what you expected? What was unexpected?
Before I went to Fire Island I really didn't know what to expect. I've done shoots before, but this shoot was much more involved I guess. I know I didn't expect to be as busy as I was, but it seemed every 5 minutes I was being called to makeup, or to do another scene or something. I wouldn't really say that anything unexpected happened.. oh.. except for the scene with Kent Larson in the Jacuzzi. It was tough scene to do being that Kent is bigger than I am, then on top of that we're fucking in a hot tub. Between him being bigger than me and trying to balance myself in a Jacuzzi, it was hard but hot as hell. If I had to do it all over again; I wouldn't think twice.
4. What did you think about the owners of property in Fire Island and their reaction to what was going on?
Grow up and get the fuck over it!!! It's free advertising for them, right?
5. Tell us what you thought about your scene.
In all my scenes I had a good time, of course there were some tough parts but we got through them. Sex is sex, and doing it in front of the camera just makes it so much hotter.
6. What was it like to work with Michael?
Working with Michael is always a pleasure. I couldn't ask for someone better to work for.
7. Are you excited to see the movie?
I am always excited to see the movies. I think it's cool to see everything that was filmed and how it's all put together in a movie.
8. What did you think of the cast? Who did you get along with best?
The cast was great!! Got along with everyone, but my favorite was Derrick. He is definitely a cool guy to hang out with.
9. Any favorite moments while there?
LOL, the few hours of sleep that I had.
10. Any funny or embarrassing stories?
One night, we all went to a show and I was pulled up on stage and had to show everyone my dick. I wouldn't say that was embarrassing, but it was a lot of fun.
11. Any person in the cast you would like to work with in the future?
Definitely Jason. He's hot, I'm sure he's hot in bed, but he has a good personality and that's what I likes about him. I really hate people that are stuck on themselves and he's real down to earth.

Favorite movie is Gia. I love Angelina Jolie, she's beautiful, crazy and she gets to fuck Brad Pitt. Bitch! I love Hip-Hop music, Missy Elliot, 50 cent, Ludacris.... From Cold Blood to Hot Cock in a Flash!
I'm still in Barcelona, but I saw "Capote" before I left, and absolutely loved it. Philip Seymour Hoffman deserves all the Oscar talk, even if, as Capote, he never once gets it on with rough trade killer Perry Smith. With no sex to distract me, I found myself fascinated by the ambiguity towards Capote. The movie leaves one appalled at Capote’s manipulation and exploitation of Dick Hickock and Perry, who murdered the Clutters in Holcomb, Kansas, but amazed at the stunning work of art he created out of it. Kind of like the way I wrenched my Fire Island Cruising 7 and 8 out of the Fire Island Community.
Capote left glittering Manhattan (where he was as fascinating as I am, in many ways), to report on the Clutter killings for The New Yorker. But once he met Perry, he fell in love with his smoldering good-looks and half-baked intelligence. But he ended up falling more in love with himself (a pitfall when you’re that fascinating) and his work-in-progress. The literary monument was his main bitch; Perry Smith was the equivalent of a fluffer.
Most of “Capote” is a stand-off: Capote can’t finish his novel until Perry gives the complete version of the murders, but Perry won’t spill it until his last appeal.
It’s impossible to feel any empathy for Perry Smith; the title of Capote’s novel says it all: “In Cold Blood.” In the movie, we hear Perry saying of the elder Herb Clutter: “I thought he was a very nice, gentle man. I thought so right up until I slit his throat.” But it’s easy to see how Capote saw a darker version of himself in Perry.
Capote’s callous use of Perry for his own ends also proves repugnant, yet understandable. Take for example the dialogue between Capote and his friend novelist Harper Lee. “If they win this appeal, I may have a complete nervous breakdown,” he tells her at one point. When the murderers are murdered, he’s devastated, trying to console himself by explaining to her that “There wasn’t anything I could have done to save them.” We hear her saying, over the phone, “Maybe, but the fact is you didn’t want to” while we watch Capote, face in hand, trying to ignore her truth.
In Cold Blood was the last book Capote ever finished, since he began to prefer parties and drunken lunches to the serious work he once did. As a non-drinker, non-drug-taker, I can assure all my fans that I’ll just keep getting better. Although I find the idea of a Michael Lucas’ Black and Blue Ball pretty intriguing…

Michael's Mailbox: Off to Barcelona Edition
Dear guys-
Thank you so much for commenting on my new, retarded (my favorite word or course) look. I personally hate it. My face looks like an egg, and I'm really happy my hair is growing back. However, I did attract a whole new section of our community into rough trade. And I do like that. More is merrier, no?
I'm leaving for Barcelona today with my crew and two of my exclusives: Wilfried Knight and Bruce Beckham. The rest of the guys are all new for my company, and already live in Spain. We've rented several beautiful apartments in the city, and since I've never been to Barcelona (which is strange since I've been all over Spain), I'm really looking forward to it.
Since I'll be in production for two weeks on Michael Lucas' Barcelona Nights, most of my blogs will be about this project. So get ready for lots of stories from the set. I'll also try to remember to send pictures, though some of them will no doubt look a little amateur, because it's easier to send pictures from my little digital camera. But maybe it'll all just look more realistic?
Still, I've already written a few blogs unrelated to porn, which will be posted while I'm away. One is about the movie Capote, with Philip Seymour Hoffman. I loved the film, so it will be a nice entry for a change.
I also want to mention that your suggestions are very much appreciated. So I welcome any comments. But I have some questions- How do you like my new features, the interviews with my porn stars? Person of the Week 3- Wilson Vasquez
This week's person of the week is Lucas Exclusive, Wilson Vasquez. He's an ambitious personal trainer, works well with people and loves being around them. Soy Bomb
I strongly believe that in my profession, you should not only be muscular, but more importantly lean and flexible. Ideally, a porn star should have leaner muscles and almost no body fat. This is largely why I started my raw food diet. I absolutely love eating this way. I feel great inside and out. A new favorite place of mine that is a real must if you live in New York is Bonobos. In addition to my raw food diet, I also do yoga and heavy weights 5 times a week. It's of utmost importance that I never take for granted how sexy you all need me to be!
Which is also why I got a brand new haircut. Constant change is a motor in the entertainment business. I love watching Madonna's new looks, and I figure my fans should have some fun too.
